The kittens were found in the Rainbow park after their mother was hit by a car. They’ve been in a loving foster home with their brother and a 1 1/2 y/o female that has taken all 3 kittens under her wing. So, they’ve had great socialization!

Looking for a loving home that will adopt these sweet bonded girls together.

They have been tested leukemia/FIV negative and are about 12 weeks old.

🚨 Service Outage Update – Still Ongoing 🚨

We’re still without internet or phones here at the clinic. Spectrum was out on Friday and replaced faulty equipment, but unfortunately, the new equipment only worked for a few hours. They are unable to get back out until tomorrow morning.

We are continuing to work on it, and we’re pushing hard to get things restored as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience while we deal with this frustrating situation. If you need to reach us, please come by the clinic in person—we’re open and doing our best to care for our patients despite the outage.

We’ll continue to share updates as we learn more.

🚨 Rabies Alert for Ormond Beach 🚨

The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County has issued a rabies alert after a confirmed case in an unvaccinated cat near Collins St. & Hand Ave. The alert is in effect for 60 days.

⚠️ Stay safe:
✔️ Avoid contact with wild & stray animals
✔️ Vaccinate pets & keep them supervised
✔️ Report animal bites to authorities

🚨 Rabies Alert in Ormond Beach 🚨
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia) has issued a rabies alert following a confirmed case in a cat near Collins St. and Hand Ave. in Ormond Beach. To ensure the safety of our community and your pets, Volusia County Animal Services will not be accepting cats from within the affected area for TNR (spay/neuter) services at our clinic for the next 60 days.

Please be aware of the following boundaries under the rabies alert:
- Eastern: South Center St./South Orchard St.
- Northern: State Road 40/West Granada Blvd.
- Southern: Golf Ave./Calle Grande St.
- Western: Clyde Morris Blvd.

Here’s how you can protect your pets and family:
✅ Vaccinate your pets and keep them supervised when outdoors.
✅ Avoid contact with wild or stray animals.
✅ Contact Ormond Beach Animal Control at 386-676-3262 for any concerns regarding cats within this area.

UPDATE: Aurora has been found, and is now safe at home! Thank you to everyone who shared this post and actively helped to get this girl home :-)

At 10:00am on April 30, a female shepherd mix dog named Aurora pulled out of her collar while trying to enter the clinic, and ran behind the neighboring houses and into the woods near Chelsea Place. Please contact us if you see her, but approach with caution as she is fearful! (She does not have a collar or harness on, as she did pull out of her collar)

ATTENTION | Change in clinic hours on March 8th, 2024.

In honor of Gail Salzburg, and respect to the Salzburg family, we will be closing at noon on Friday, March 8th, to give our staff at Salzburg Animal Hospital the opportunity to pay their respects and commemorate her life.

Regular clinic hours will resume on Monday. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Salzburg's beloved wife of 44 years, Gail.
She was a testament to love, partnership, and dedication. Together they embarked on the journey of opening our practice 29 years ago. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Salzburg and his family during this difficult time.
Gail will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
