Eden Farm is located in Ocala, Florida on 30 acres down the road from Glen Hill Farm and Paddock Mall. Established in 1972, it is one of the oldest hunter/jumper barns in Ocala/Marion County, Florida. Just minutes from many of the local schools and walking distance to Trinity High School, Eden Farm is often referred to as the “in town” hunter/jumper farm. The farm’s environment is family oriented

and a team spirit is encouraged throughout the students and parents. For over 45 years, it has been the start and foundation of many young and successful riders in the Central Florida Zone 4 region.

Happy Fall from Eden Farm!🐴

It may technically be fall… but here in Florida, we’re still waiting for the “cooler weather” part. 😂☀️

Until then, we’ll be enjoying our horses, barn days, and pretending it feels like sweater weather.

If you’ve never been around horses, the whole thing can feel intimidating – the boots, the helmets, the lingo, the cost.

We get it. Every Eden Farm family started exactly there. 😊

Here’s what to expect for your child’s first lesson:

1️⃣What to wear: helmet, boots, long pants
2️⃣What happens: meet the horse, learn the basics - how to hold reins, squeeze heels on the horse and make them go, how to squeeze reins to make them start, inside rein, outside rein, 2-point position, posting trot, and sitting trot if ready for both.
3️⃣What ages can start? As young as 5, depending on maturity
✅Signs your child is ready: loves horses, can follow basic directions, excited to try.

Call today to book your lessons or schedule a barn tour!

Every morning I walk in the barn, I feel it, gratitude for a life that looks like this.

There’s a moment early in the morning when the barn is quiet and the horses are stirring; the light comes through in a way that makes you stop.

I don’t ever take it for granted.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” - Psalm 118:24

See you in the saddle this week!

Tell us your favorite part of mornings at the barn. ☀️🐎

There’s a moment every trainer and rider lives for.

It’s not just the ribbon. It’s not just the clean round.

It’s the moment when a rider stops thinking about what their hands are doing, stops counting strides, stops being nervous – and just rides.

Completely in sync with their horse. Present.
Megan calls it ‘becoming on with the horse’.

It happens for every rider eventually – beginner to advanced. And when it does, you can see it from across the ring.

Eden Farm loves to create these moments.

For over 20 years, I've been intentional about choosing and training lesson horses that truly help riders grow.

A great lesson horse isn't just "safe." The right horse should build confidence, challenge a rider at the right pace, and help them develop the skills they need to reach the next level.

Finding that balance is something I take seriously.

Personality matters too. When a horse and rider clash, progress can be frustrating for both. But when you find the right partnership, everything changes. The rider gains confidence, the horse enjoys their job, and together they become a team.

Those partnerships don't just create better riders—they often lead to success in the show ring as well.

Matching horses to riders isn't something I leave to chance. It's one of the most important parts of what we do at Eden Farm.

Think your child is ready to start riding or take the next step? Send us a DM or give us a call—we'd love to help.🐴✨

Any rider can have a good round when everything goes right. The ones who really grow are the ones who learn how to handle the round that falls apart. ✨

You chip the jump.
You miss your distance.
Your horse chips the fence, and you lose a stirrup.
And now you have four more jumps left in the course and a choice to make.

Do you let that mistake live in your body for the rest of the round? Or do you breathe, reset, and ride the next jump like it's the first one?

That reset — that is the skill. And it is so much harder than any technical riding correction I can give.

I've watched kids come off a bad fence and put together the best four jumps of their life because they refused to carry the mistake forward. And I've watched talented riders fall apart over one chip because they couldn't let it go.

The ring teaches this. And I believe it's one of the most valuable things a rider takes out of this sport and into the rest of their life.

Mess up. Reset. Ride the next jump. 🐎❤️

That works in the ring. And it works everywhere else too.

Tag a rider who needs to hear this today. 🫶 And if you want your child learning resilience alongside riding, Eden Farm is a great place to do it. Check out the link in our bio.

A lot of kids are spending too much time in front of screens – and it’s showing.

Attention spans, patience, confidence, resilience. The things that used to be built by doing hard things.

Horses can be hard. You can’t fast-forward them. You can’t pause them. You can’t put them on silent.

A horse demands your full presence. Your patience. Your empathy. Your work.

And that’s exactly why I do this.

Every year I watch kids walk in distracted and walk out transformed. Not because the horse is magic – because the work is real!

If your child needs something real to work toward, send a DM 💬 to chat about lessons or schedule a barn tour!

Eden Farm - ✨Rider Spotlight✨

When Natalie Roberts first came to Eden Farm, it was for summer camp. She was just 10 years old, and her parents had excitedly met me at the barn to hear all about the program.

From the moment she walked in, Natalie loved the horses — and that love has only grown. From Tiffany to Tiki to her new horse Kruze, her passion for riding and showing has been unwavering. 🐴

Last show, Natalie won her first over fences class on Kruze. 🎉

But what made me proudest? Watching her figure it out on her own.

Kruze is only 6 years old and had been jumping for just two months when they stepped into the ring together. He was a tough ride that day — and Natalie could have crumbled.

Instead, she dug in, stayed focused, and found a way to get the best out of him. That's not just riding. That's horsemanship. 🙌

She's been pushing herself every single week — coming out on weekends, drilling whatever challenged her in lessons — and it shows.

That's what Eden Farm teaches. Not just how to ride — but how to become a true equestrian.

Congratulations, Natalie. We're proud of you. 😊

This is why I love what I do! ❤️

If you want a training program that cares as much about who your child becomes as how well they ride — Call me or send a DM for more info.
