Horses. Fun. Philanthropy. A Community United in Ocala, Florida.
In the heart of Ocala, Florida — one of the world’s premier equestrian communities — the Horses, Fun & Philanthropy charity event brought together riders, sponsors, and local families for a powerful cause.
This Ocala charity horse show raised $150,000 for ten children’s charities in Marion County, including the Kimberley Center for Child Protection. Hosted at HITS Ocala and supported by HCA Florida Healthcare and the Aletto Foundation, the event united the equestrian community with United Way Marion County to support local children in need.
In Marion County, 52% of children live in poverty or ALICE households (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). While Ocala is known for its thriving equine industry, many hardworking families are quietly struggling. This event bridges that gap — connecting the equestrian community with children’s charities that provide stability, education, protection, and opportunity.
Modeled after the Great Charity Challenge, Horses, Fun & Philanthropy combines creativity, competition, and compassion — proving that when horses and heart come together, real impact happens.
This is more than a horse show.
It’s the equestrian community of Ocala stepping forward for its children.
