Cat Town is a nonprofit cat rescue dedicated to reducing euthanasia nationwide. Our focus is to find great homes for shy, senior, and under-socialized cats through our Adoption Center and foster program. Cat Town is home to the nation’s first cat cafe — a cage-free adoption center created to support cats who struggle to get adopted from a shelter cage. About half of our cats live in foster homes,

with the remainder residing at our Adoption Center until they get adopted. Most of the cats at the Cat Town Adoption Center roam freely in the Cat Zone, while other cats in need of one-on-one socialization or more advanced medical attention stay in private Studios. What do in-home pet sitting, a cat-themed D&D campaign, and expert-level medication tips have in common? They’re all items donated by Cat Town staff to our Yard Sale — because our team doesn’t just work for cats, we go all in for them.

When asked why she donated three nights of pet and house sitting, Development Associate Kristine said, “I know how far just a couple hundred dollars can go in transforming a cat’s life.” And Executive Director Andrew didn’t hesitate to offer up his custom Dungeons & Dragons adventure: “No persuasion check was needed — donating to save cats is always the right call.”

We’re lucky to have a team that lives and breathes this mission. Want to join in and support our work for vulnerable cats? The Yard Sale ends in just 4 days — bid now: https://fundraiser.bid/yardsale

We tried the trend out with Elle, and let’s just say — she’s onboard. It might sound like an odd enrichment tool, but a slab of concrete actually hits a sweet spot for cats. According to pet behaviorist Dr. Annie (), it checks several important boxes:

・Novelty: Cats are tuned in to changes in their space. A new object, like a concrete slab, triggers their curiosity and taps into their territorial instincts.
・Texture + scent: The porous surface holds onto their scent, making it easy to “claim” — and it’s super satisfying for scratching.
・Warmth: Cats naturally seek out warmth, and sun-soaked concrete makes the perfect toasty lounging spot.

Enrichment doesn’t have to be fancy — it just has to support your cat’s natural behaviors. And sometimes, a simple slab does the trick.

Meet Noelle and Nolan! After a rough start, these two are ready for a fresh chapter — together.

Noelle is sweet and snuggly once she knows you, while Nolan is more cautious, taking comfort in playtime, treats, and Noelle’s calming presence. They’re still learning to trust people, so they’ll need a patient adopter ready to help them keep growing at their own pace.

If there were an award for most snuggly purr machine, 18-year-old Gorby would win — paws down! He’s a bottomless pit of affection with beautiful green eyes and a purr that can be heard from space. He’s happiest when he’s snuggled up with his person, and may perch in your lap or settle on your chest to be extra close.

Gorby is the definition of a wonderful senior cat — mature, mellow, loving, and totally go-with-the-flow. He’s living with several health conditions, including advanced chronic kidney disease, and because of that, Cat Town will cover certain palliative and hospice-related medical expenses for the rest of his life.

Right now, this little man is struggling to find his appetite, and we want to get him into a safe, comforting home as soon as possible. Whether you’re open to adopting or fostering, your care could help Gorby feel secure and loved during this important stage of his life.

If you think you might be his hero, we’d love to hear from you. Learn more via the links below.

Since our first Yard Sale in 2020, superstar volunteer Era has been behind the camera capturing every detail, every treasure, and all the heart that makes this fundraiser special.

Era has photographed every Yard Sale since we began, turning it into a tradition they’ve poured their talent into. That’s thousands of photos over the years — all to help raise vital funds for cats who need a second chance.

This year, they snapped 367 item photos in one day, all while juggling a packed schedule vending for The Catnip Dispensary, their own cat-rescue-supporting business.

We’re so grateful to Era for sharing their time and talent with Cat Town. Thanks for helping us tell the story behind each donated item — and making it even more fun to shop for a cause.

Bonded berry tabbies Huckleberry & Goji are as sweet as their names — playful, affectionate, and totally inseparable. Huckleberry is a purring cuddlebug who loves belly rubs, while Goji is an adventurous little chirper, always ready to chase her favorite toy or soak up chin scratches. They may start off shy, but once they feel safe, their love shines. Could you be the patient, kind adopter to help them bloom?
