Cat Town is a nonprofit cat rescue dedicated to reducing euthanasia nationwide. Our focus is to find great homes for shy, senior, and under-socialized cats through our Adoption Center and foster program. Cat Town is home to the nation’s first cat cafe — a cage-free adoption center created to support cats who struggle to get adopted from a shelter cage. About half of our cats live in foster homes,

with the remainder residing at our Adoption Center until they get adopted. Most of the cats at the Cat Town Adoption Center roam freely in the Cat Zone, while other cats in need of one-on-one socialization or more advanced medical attention stay in private Studios. Gerard is a senior cat with a young soul. Confident, friendly, and endlessly curious, he loves roaming from room to room, keeping watch on the world outside, and squeaking with excitement when he spots birds or other cats.

He bonds quickly and never wants to be far from his person. Lap time, brushing sessions, or just keeping you company — Gerard is always ready. Though he takes daily arthritis meds, he’s still spry and agile, with plenty of energy to share.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will stay close by your side, Gerard is your guy. Fill out our adoption inquiry form today: https://bit.ly/cattownadoptioninquiry

Sweet news: Nekosama is back at Souvenir Coffee Co's Cat Town location for a special pop-up next Sunday, October 5, from 11am–2pm!

Nekosama specializes in whimsical treats inspired by Asian flavors, from melt-in-your-mouth cookies, milk buns, tea cakes, and more — with flavors like matcha, milk tea, ube, and scallions, and goods made in small batches with local, natural ingredients.

Morton is dressed to impress in his tuxedo, and his mitten paws only add to the charm. He’s playful, talkative, and endlessly curious — whether he’s chasing wand toys, circling after his own tail, or following you from room to room just to stay close.

This sociable guy loves attention, though his energy can tip into overstimulation, so he’ll do best with an adopter who knows cat signals and can guide him toward healthy play habits.

Fun fact: Morton is polydactyl, meaning he has extra toes. Once thought to bring sailors luck, polydactyl cats are sometimes called “Hemingway cats.” With Morton, you might just find your good fortune wrapped up in a tuxedo.

When Danny first arrived at the city shelter, he was struggling with painful skin issues that left him itchy, patchy, and uncomfortable. In his foster home, he needed close monitoring, a carefully managed routine of meds, and a special diet to help him heal.

Throughout this journey, Danny showed his sweet personality, so of course his foster mom fell in love with him, officially adopting him and joining our foster-to-family club. His foster updated us on his health and happiness, saying:

“Danny is doing exceptionally well. His hair is all grown in, and is incredibly soft now! He’s medication-free, and he even eats his food slowly like a distinguished little gentleman so he no longer throws up. He’s still SUPER cuddly, and we’re a happy little family.

Thank you SO MUCH for bringing him into my life. I couldn’t be happier.”

Yesterday’s small earthquake sent our cats scattering — proof of how quickly pets can panic when the ground shakes. Thankfully, everyone is safe. But if a bigger disaster struck, would you be ready to get your cats out safely?

Here’s how to plan ahead:

• Keep a sturdy, hard-sided carrier ready. Frightened cats are much easier (and safer) to load in these than soft-sided or zippered ones.
• Help your cat get comfortable with their carrier in advance through training and desensitization, so it’s less stressful when you need to use it.
• Pack a “go bag” with pet essentials like food, and medications.
• Make sure your cat’s microchip registration is up to date, so they can find their way back if separated.

Even minor quakes are reminders: emergencies happen fast. A little preparation now can make all the difference for your cat’s safety.

Tommy’s whiskers are legendary, but the cat behind them is even more special. A little shy and easily startled, he needs time to feel safe. With patience — and the comfort of toys, treats, and a confident cat buddy — he shows off his playful, curious side.

Tommy isn’t your instant lap cat, but once he trusts you, his love is all the more meaningful.

Could you be the one to give him that safe place to land? Submit an adoption inquiry today: https://bit.ly/cattownadoptioninquiry

At Cat Town, we believe every cat deserves a chance — even those overlooked elsewhere for being shy, older, or in need of extra care. With time, care, and compassion, they flourish, showing us every day that they’re just as adoptable as any other cat.

To close out , here are a few waiting for a hero adopter:

• Boscoe: A handsome tabby with a gentle spirit. His old knee injury and arthritis are well-managed, but he’ll need ongoing care — gabapentin, monthly Solensia injections, and a joint supplement.
• Huckleberry & Goji: A bonded duo is as sweet as their names — playful, affectionate, and totally inseparable. They may start off shy, but once they feel safe, their love shines.
• Pepita: Smart, playful, loyal, and deeply sensitive to the world around her. Sudden sounds can make her jump, but with quiet routines and patient friends, she’s learning to feel secure.
• Ollie & Pip: Bonded best buds who’ve been through a lot. They need patience and a quiet space to help them feel safe again. Their love is worth the wait!

We’re looking for big-hearted people with patience and some cat experience. Could that be you — or someone you know?

Help us spread the word, or take the first step to meet them: submit an adoption inquiry today at https://bit.ly/cattownadoptioninquiry.
