Madera just wrapped up five days in a foster home, and the report card is basically all A's. She's the kind of dog who leans her head on your lap the moment you sit down. But she can also read the room and give you space when you're busy or eating.

She slept through the night in her crate without a peep, only stirring once her person was up. Left alone for a stretch, she waited patiently on the couch instead of redecorating the furniture. And when it comes to bath time, she just stood there with the most dramatic, soulful eyes until it was over.

On walks she's easygoing, though a squirrel sighting can turn her into a determined tugboat for a few seconds. She knows sit, down, and come, with stay still in progress.

Madera is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. If your idea of a good night is a couch, a snack, and a dog-shaped heating pad next to you, Madera is your girl!

Whisper is a 76-lb German Shepherd mix who greets every hello like it's the best news she's heard all day, complete with bounces, leans, and the occasional over-enthusiastic paw-on-your-chest hug. She's still working on her manners (down is a bit of a mystery to her).

In playgroups, Whisper is all soft eyes and play bows, easily making friends with other dogs and settling into a gentle, follow-the-leader style once she gets comfortable. She'd shine in a home where she can be the center of attention, ideally without young kids in the mix.

One year old, spayed, and ready to bring her whole heart to an adopter willing to show her the ropes!

Introducing Sewie & Amoeba!

Tabby girl Sewie is so named because she was rescued from a sewer drain. This certified cuddlebug loves to nuzzle into you, purrs up a storm with pets, and even gives kisses!

Her brother from another mother, handsome panther Amoeba, is a fearless adventurer and explorer. Rarely still, he’s a goofy little guy who never stops playing, leaves no nook or cranny uninvestigated, and is on an endless quest for fun. During his rare mellow moments, he loves to settle onto your shoulders and nuzzle his face into your hair, his contented purr rumbling in your ear.

This inseparable pair are obsessed with each other and can chase, play, and cuddle together for hours. But they’re equally interested in humans, and will come running when you call them, delighted to have another friend to frolic and snuggle with.

These sweet and silly kittens would be great for first-time adopters, busy households, or families with kids. Stop by to meet them Thursday from noon to 6:30 p.m., Friday or Sunday from 12-3, or Saturday from 11-4!

Bumblebee is a 5 month old Pitsky (maybe?) puppy who is excelling in her foster home.

She is acing potty training when given regular access to the yard. She sleeps through the night. She loves to play with her foster sibling and cuddle with her foster parents.
