I have a few openings left for Sundays at 2 and 3:30 for Cross Training Confidence Building Class. What is Cross Training Confidence Building Class you might ask?

Your dog will build confidence while learning to work different obstacles and different surfaces along with some Nosework all while having fun and the handlers learn teamwork with their dog and the bond grows even stronger through trust, love and fun.

It’s a beautiful thing to watch and be a part of.
If you would like to join in and hold a spot for you and your dog(s) it’s only three weeks at a time for $75. One dog runs at a time while the others are either crated in the facility or in your vehicle. If your dog is not used to being in a crate, there are other options that we could work out.

Here are some of the teams that had fun in classes this past Sunday here at Niagara K9 doing some Nosework as well as building Confidence in Cross Training classes. Some for the very first time and others are building upon their skills.

Wow, it was a full day of training and lots of fun with all the teams (not all our pictured) these classes are held on Sundays all day and Friday early afternoons. Everyone did awesome! 🤩

Dogs of all ages are welcome and even if they have physical limitations I will modify for your dog. 

These classes, whether be Nosework or Cross training are so good for our dogs to build confidence while having fun and bond closer as a team.

Big congrats to 2 of our Conformation students at Niagara K9 at their FIRST show together winning baby puppy Group 1st! Willow is 9 years old and Mika is 5 months old 🏆🐕

Remember, dog show handling classes are every Monday (5:30pm-6:30pm) and Friday (5pm-6pm). $15 per handler and drop in available! Practice makes perfect 😊

These teams are superstars for trying out Scentwork in my mini”Try It” Scentwork workshop! Such fun! I will be holding another one of these very soon in the meantime, these teams are going to continue their journey with me in some classes here at Niagara K9 while we work on things specific to their individual dog.

We are having fun in my Cross Training/Confidence Building Class! All teams are doing great working around other dogs while doing certain obstacles as well as some Nosework. One of the best parts of this class is everyone cheers the teams on as they work through obstacles. Wow very cool! 🤩 great job everyone! Teams 🐾💕🐾 Enzo, Joey, Punkin, Pluto and Mauve

Yesterday was the start of a new session of Cross Training and Confidence building classes at Niagara K9. Thank you Elizabeth for taking some photos. Everyone did great! We even did some Nosework.

Kandis Hall works at SOAR Veterinary Clinic in Canada what specializes in Rehabilitation and Pain Management.
She obtained her Canine Fitness Trainer certification through the University of Tennessee and her Canine Massage certification through Royal Canadian School of Massage in Toronto.
She has helped many high level canine athletes with their fitness program.

Kandis is a Canadian National Champion with her Malinois Fizzgig in the sport of IGP and a world level competitor. Kandis has also taken her Bernese Mountain Dog Buddy all they to OTCH in CKC.

As a high level competitor herself in such demanding dog sports she is the perfect person to get you started with a fitness program for your sport dog!

Kandis and Fizz are entered at FMBB World Championships again this year in Greece!
This seminar is a fundraiser to help support their team on their way to represent Team Canada at this event. All proceeds go directly to their team.

Check out these dogs in class here at Niagara K9 yesterday working odor to source and how they work it. The handler has to not interfere by talking, walking around etc. and sometimes that’s the hardest thing to do but it’s really important when doing Nose Work to allow our dogs to work as independently as possible.

Watch how Phoenix goes into the search area different energy than Madley. Phoenix goes in mouth open happy go lucky ready to have fun and search and then as she catches the odor and she works it to source, She actually puts her brakes on and turns right back and sources it.

Watch how Madley is more methodical working odor to source and there’s a clear change of behavior when she’s closer to it.

Great job teams not interfering and watching your dogs work !
