A not-for-profit animal welfare organization, HSCI does not receive federal, state or local tax dollars. In addition to nominal adoption fees, HSCI relies heavily on donations from individuals, foundations and corporations who also have a commitment to animal welfare, and fundraising activities. The HSCI has donation support of over 900 individuals and volunteers who dedicate countless hours each year. The organization spay/neuters over 1,000 animals and helps more than 2,200 animals annually.

Salutations! I am Zahl! I’m a 5-year-old male Great Dane. I think I am a small guy, and I’m convinced I’m a lapdog. I love to lounge around in bed for hours, but then I get really excited to go outside. I like cats a little too much, so I would do best in a home without them. I love a rotisserie chicken, and I never miss dinnertime. My adoption fee is $350.
