Of course we think Nilla’s Tub is the best place to give your pup a bath – and easiest for you - but if you want to give your dog a bath outside, here are some tips to keep in mind:
1. Do not use the hose at high pressure. Dogs do not like this and you don’t want a strong stream of water to hit them in their eyes or ears.
2. It’s a 2 person job - one to hold the leash and one to actually do the bathing.
3. Consider using a plastic baby pool as an outdoor tub. Let the water warm up a bit first.
4. Test out the water temperature – water can be very hot if the hose has been sitting in the sun.
5. Many dogs are more compliant if you pour water on them instead of blasting them with a hose. Try filling up several milk jugs and letting them sit out to warm up a bit.
6. Set up everything you need near your outside "dog washing station," so you don't have to leave your dog to get anything.
7. Do not use human shampoo – even baby shampoo!

Looks like we are in for some HOT weather. Remember that you should NOT store pet food in a garage. High temperatures can degrade the oils and cause the nutrients within the food to breakdown.
