We are no longer a rescue, we are simply a sanctuary for pigs that we already have here & cannot take in any new pigs. Our mission is to provide an open herd sanctu

ary in a natural environment. Although our hope was to save as many abused and abandoned pigs as possible our reality is we are only a few and can no longer take in any additional pigs. We are here to provide protection and care to the remaining herd that is with us now. With the growing epidemic of abandoned pigs brought on by breeders and the myth of micro and mini tea cup pigs the need is beyond our abilities. Please be sure to not confuse us with Noah's Ark On Wheels & Noahs Ark Farm, they are wonderful as well, but we are soley a pig sanctuary. It was brought to our attention some people were mixing our websites up.

We needed a little bit bigger & better area for these two while Nikki is healing from her leg injury, so we finished this space & moved them today. She & donut have become such good buddies, so we've kept them together. This area has a much larger stall for them to snuggle up together in. & a full area of grass. & when they discover there is a pumpkin growing there also, they will have a delicious snack!
And a big thanks to Paula & her husband, Charlie, for all their help today with cleaning, working on the medical building & helping move these two to their new area. And we also had our friend, Jean, who comes to help with the cats in the catios every other week! Very much appreciated 🐷

It was such a loss yesterday the 17th of April.
We lost out oldest pig Pierre at age 22 yrs. 2 months.
I first met him when he was 3 years old in 2006.
His owner who loved him very much was an older man and lost his wife and home.
He pitched a tent and had a pen for the pig but he begged me to take his pig because people were sneaking up and trying to steal the pig and not for the right reasons. My neighbor helped and we got him moved.
He had been with me all these years.
Never was to fond of other pigs but I did put him in with 2 other seniors, Earl and Giani and it worked out great.
Pierre, as he got more arthritic, we tried alot of different meds but these last 6 months have been hard.
We added another med but that was short lived. He did good and then the other day he quit eating and almost was like in a coma.
Not eating, getting up or responding. We sadly knew it was time to say goodbye.
Very hard to do with having him all these years. One thing we did get to smile about is that Pierre grew alot of tomatoes plants and one of the last things he ate was some of those tomatoes.
We will miss him more than words can express ❤️

Just a reminder our volunteer work day is coming up tomorrow! Please let us know if you are interested in coming and helping out Noah's Ark Pot Belly Pig Sanctuary! All help small or large is greatly appreciated 🐷

SATURDAY, APRIL 5th. 9 am - ?
We are beginning to plan our next volunteer work day! We would love for you to join us for a day of volunteer work and piggy love!
Please let us know if you would like to come!

We are looking for volunteers of all skill levels, from anyone who can help clean up & clean out stalls, to anyone who is handy with tools...
We moved 3 of our senior piggies over to a newly redone area where we they will be able to get more specialized care :) We are wanting to redo the shelter roof in the area (it's not too big of a project, but anyone handy are greatly appreciated to help with this)
We will also be getting everything cleaned out from winter & ready for the hot summer coming up!
We will mostly be working in the barns, sweeping out the stalls & putting in new fresh hay & blankets, washing mats, and some additional small repairs. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!

All volunteers & donations are welcome & greatly appreciated

If you'd like to bring donations, we are in need of: monetary, laundry detergent, bleach, canned vegetables (small/ normal size is preferred & low sodium) peanut butter, blankets, and pig feed (see website for more details).

What to bring:
Bug spray, a water bottle, tennis shoes/boots (closed-toed), snacks, & pack a lunch (please be mindful not to bring meat items)!
In addition, please be mindful of how many cars you are driving, as parking is just along the fence line by the road.

Noah's ark sanctuary is looking to hire for a feeding position for feeding the piggies at the Sanctuary 1 or 2 nights each week & also a couple mornings each week. There may be more days available here & there.
It's a plus if you are flexible for extra random days morning & evenings) if our other person calls out.

Feeding typically takes about 1 hour ish once you learn all the piggies. Feeding starts at about 5:45pm (this time of year, towards winter, we start about 4:30pm)

We are a 501c3 non profit sanctuary volunteer based, but we are paying for this position.

We are so excited that we were finally able to mostly finish an area to be able to move Gianni, Earl & Pierre to this newly redone area that will be so much easier to give them the special care that these senior & cripple piggies need 🐷 hopefully when we do our volunteer work day at the sanctuary April 5th, we will be able to redo the roof of the stall along with some other things :-) The transition moving then here went so smooth & they seem quite happy here. Earl, as soon as he got out of the cart to bring him over here, just dove right into all that straw! It was so sweet.
We hope to see you all at our volunteer work day where we hope to get things all set up for the summer with all of our sweet piggies here at Noah's Ark sanctuary 🐷

We here at Noah's Ark Pot Bellied Pig Sanctuary are looking for volunteers or to hire for a position for feeding the piggies at the Sanctuary 1 or 2 nights each week and 2-4 mornings a week. It's a plus if you are flexible for extra random days mornings or evenings if another person calls out. Feeding typically takes about 1 hour ish once you learn the routine and all the piggies. Feeding starts at about 5pm (flexible due to weather, this time of year it's earlier, towards summer, we start about 5:15 ish or later ish) morning start about 7 am
Please let us know if you are interested & we can go over the details of days & times, pay & what's involved exactly, and we can have you come out to watch a feeding to see how we feed.
We are a 501c3 non profit sanctuary volunteer based, but we are willing to pay for this much needed position. We are located in New Port Richey, Florida, in the Moon Lake Acres area.
