20 years ago, on April Fools Day, Dr. Adams signed the paperwork and became the owner of Pasco Animal Hospital. He was humbled by the rich history of the practice and grateful to the original owners, Drs. Gumbiner, Wysock and Lowenberg, for trusting him with their legacy. Pasco Animal Hospital was the only animal hospital in Pasco County when it opened in 1965. Of course now, you have many choices when looking for veterinary care. We hope that this small, family owned business, continues to be your first choice when you think of getting good care for your pets.

Dr. Adams: Dr. Adams is one of a kind. He endeavors to provide the highest quality medicine for your pets. He consistently demonstrates his compassion, competence and care with our clients and their pets. He is gentle, funny and super smart. Our team loves working for him, as he treats everyone with dignity and respect. He will tell you, the only reason he can do what he does is because of the incredible team working with him.

Tuesday April 1st at 6pm, the Mayor of New Port Richey will present a proclamation to Dr. Adams for his 20 years of service to the community. If you are around, and want to join us in celebrating him, we are told it will be in the first 30 minutes of the meeting. City Council meeting is at 5919 Main St. NPR. (But shhh, don't tell him, its a surprise).

Jonas: Jonas is our hospital care attendant. He makes sure everyone has the supplies they need to take exceptional care of your pets. He keeps up with cleaning, laundry and has a special relationship with our hospital cats Vecna and Firefox.

Monica: Monica spends her days making sure your pets get the best care possible. She has excellent instincts with our spicier pets. She is both gentle and assertive and manages to keep everyone safe so they can get the care they need. Monica showed up at PAH exactly when we needed her and we are so grateful she is part of our team.

Natalie: Natalie literally loves all of your pets. She tells them too! Natalie brings deep compassion and a brilliant work ethic to the team. She would probably kidnap all of your kitties if she could get away with it. Alas, she settles for treating them as if they were her own every time she has the opportunity to care for them.

AMBER: Amber is our unicorn. She can skillfully handle all of your needs on the phone and at the reception desk, then, whip her hair up in a bun and draw blood or place a catheter. She remembers your pets names, what they need, is efficient and organized and we are grateful she is part of our team.🐾

At Pasco Animal Hospital, your pet’s health and safety Is my top priority. I am committed to providing high-quality care, and with that in mind, I want to inform you of an important update regarding how our practice handles prescriptions for online pharmacies.

Effective April 1, 2025 we will no longer be working directly with third-party online pharmacies such as Chewy, 1-800-PetMeds, or others. Over time, I have encountered issues with incorrect medications and dosing errors from these pharmacies, and I want to ensure the highest level of safety for your pets.

To better serve you, I am proud to offer our own online pharmacy, which provides competitive pricing, price matching in some instances (I cannot sell below retail), manufacturer-backed guarantees, and the convenience of home delivery. You can trust that all medications from our pharmacy meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Additionally, we are transitioning our online pharmacy from Vetsource to VetCove on March 25, 2025,to offer an even better experience for you and your pets. If you currently have auto-shipments set up, your prescriptions will be automatically transferred to VetCove. A team member may reach out to update your payment information, but otherwise, you can expect the same or even better quality of service.

Beyond convenience and safety, choosing our pharmacy also means you’re supporting a small, family-owned business rather than a large wholesale corporation. For many of our clients, this is an important value, and I am proud to align with that by offering a more personalized and community-focused option.

Of course, I fully respect your choice when it comes to where you fill your pet’s prescriptions. If you prefer to use another pharmacy, I am happy to provide a written prescription that you can use at any pharmacy of your choice. However, I will no longer approve requests or communicate directly with third-party online pharmacies. This is a decision I have not made lightly and it’s in the best interest of my patients and practice. Please be kind when navigating this transition with my team.
