✨ Sweet, gentle, and slowly learning to trust

Rescued after being left outdoors with her sisters, Snickerdoodle is still learning that the world can be safe. She’s incredibly timid and needs a calm, patient home willing to let her move at her own pace without pressure or expectations.

Right now, leash walks and fenced-yard freedom are still too overwhelming for her, so she’s looking for a home happy to keep her world small, predictable, and secure while she continues building confidence.

Snickerdoodle may not be the dog who runs up to strangers for attention—but the dogs who take longer to trust often love the deepest once they finally feel safe.

The kind of dog who watches the world unfold with quiet dignity and the expression of someone who has already accepted that some things are simply out of his control… like vacuum cleaners and humanity in general.

Harvey carries himself like a retired aristocrat in very soft pajamas. He’s thoughtful, gentle, and deeply comforting to be around—the kind of dog who quietly rests beside you after a long day like he already knows exactly what you need.

Other dogs zoom around like caffeinated marshmallows. Harvey simply observes. Calmly. Respectfully. Possibly with mild anthropological interest.

Cats, however, are not part of Harvey’s long-term strategic vision.

At 45 pounds, he’s the perfect size for what scientists refer to as “maximum cuddle geometry.” Big enough to feel substantial. Small enough to fit perfectly beside you on the couch while making your entire nervous system relax.
