brought in by good samaritans wanting to save a life. I also provide a forever home to a number of special needs birds, ducks and chickens and try to educate the public on how to care for our feathered friends. I am a one woman rescue with no help or volunteers and everything I provide for the birds at Kasia’s Ark comes out of my own pocket. I don’t have a facility or shelter and run my little rescue out of my home. Donations are always needed and very much appreciated.

My nerves are shot. I’m right in the middle of this, and these alerts, texts and phone calls from the weather service keep on coming.

Birds are perfectly calm and secure.

People don’t have basements in Louisiana! I don’t know why the advice is to seek shelter in a basement. NOBODY here has them!

I need them to be more specific. HOW near, exactly? Should I hit the road NOW? 🤷‍♀️

Thanks to years of practice, all birds are secure, hunkered down, and I can be on the road within 5 minutes if necessary.

Here we go again. I’m so sick of this. My nerves are shot. All birds secured and ready to evacuate if need be.

Over the years, I have gotten tons and tons of complaints from horrified employees. These stores need to stop selling ALL living animals ASAP!
