Do you have $5? Can I have it?? I want to buy hair gel.

Just kidding! About the hair gel; not about the $5! If you donate $5 to The Humane Society of Louisiana () at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/care-to-help-bumper-he-and-41-other-dogs-need-our-help, you’ll be entered to WIN this original Flower Power Pittie painting (oil & acrylic on 16”x20” canvas), created right here at Sesame’s B&B!!! In the painting is Bumper, whom the HSLA saved along with 41 other dogs from a hoarding and neglect situation. The raffle donations allow the HSLA to continue showering Bumper and his 41 rescued friends with the care and support they’ve always deserved. We’re giving our hair gel money, and we’d love it if you would consider giving your hair gel money, too!! Plus then you can daydream about Bumper in the flowers and how exciting it would/will be to win the original painting!

Thank you so much friends!!!! Raffle ends August 31st 😍🐣🎉💖🐦‍⬛
Also, share this with someone who should give you $5 :)

Kimpossumble loves her splash pad/water bowl in Sesame’s B&B’ 1950s tub 🥰

Kimp’s hero is Christopher, who found her, protected her, and posted in classifieds on Wednesday to get her help! She appears to be quite elderly, and had no babies in her pouch but hundreds of fleas onboard. Now two days later, she’s flea-free, rehydrating, eating, and gaining pizzazz. She’s vintage like the tub, and beautiful!!!

We’re not “licking everything outside”, we’re pollinating!! 🌝

Elmira at is a known pollinator, and she’s amazing at it! What’s less well known is that opossums and other fuzzy animals can also act as pollinators. We brush up against plants when exploring at night, transferring pollen from flowers and spores from plants in our fur to locations sometimes miles away.

While animals sometimes LOVE the honey that bees produce, we got asked why vegan people don’t eat honey. The simple answer is that vegan people avoid honey because honey bees make it for themselves, not for people! Also, honey production often harms bees—queens may have their wings torn off (so they can’t relocate their colony), hives are selectively bred (reducing genetic diversity), and bees are killed when colonies aren’t profitable.

It’s also very important to know that of the 20,000+ known bee species, only a few—mainly honey bees from the species Apis mellifera—produce the honey people eat. These European honey bees are not native to many places where they’re kept and act as an invasive species. The human-managed colonies spread disease to native bees, while also outcompeting native bees for nectar and pollen and disrupting important regional plant-pollinator relationships.

Native bees are vital for healthy ecosystems and food crops, often pollinating more efficiently than honey bees. By boycotting honey, you support native pollinators, protect fragile ecosystems, and build a kinder, more sustainable world! 🌎🐝💛

It’s Stinkling Sunday!!! Brought to us by 💖🌝

’s story shows just why it’s so important to find a rehabber when helping wild animals! Because rehabbers have the supplies, meds, and experience to give seedlings, stinklings, and other wild species their best chance at a great life ❤️💖🥰 PS: will help you find a rehabber near you!

From :
🦨🦨🦨🦨 Here are our baby skunks that were
rescued from under a porch when their mom was actively passing. After 5-6 days under our care, they all of a sudden all showed significant neurological signs... no body control, muscle tremors, drooling, abnormal body posture when being fed, could not right themselves up. We had not seen this in our 16 years of rehabbing! It was very bizarre. We thought we were going to lose all of them. We started antibiotics (thankfully the one we chose worked so well) separated one “healthier” one (has since been reunited) and look at them now!!! Even we are amazed!!! 🦨💜💜🦨

When the lid says “Everything for Baby” that means it’s for us 🥰

Congrats to our friend at Savage Hart Wildlife!!!! They just started lapping! That means no more formula from a tube — they are gaining independence. This is the age seedlings start riding on mom’s back and exploring their world outside the pouch.

Follow Savage Hart with us to keep up with our friend’s progress!! 🙏❤️💖🥰

Apple Skins = ❌🚫👎⛔️!!

Our friend Sara at is just like us—she only likes apple insides!! We also only like grape insides. Unlike Sara, we opossums take the biggest bite we can and chew forever, then spit out the skins. If you see a pile of chewed up “raisins”, that’s us! Sara’s a little more dainty 🌝🌝🌝
