STUDY REVEALS THE LINK BETWEEN OUR LAWNS, OUR PETS🐾, CANCER🔥 AND US

Beware pet parents: Treating your lawn with yard chemicals☠️, allowing your pet to eat or play on grass that’s been sprayed💦, or walking your pet on golf courses⛳️ can negatively affect our dog’s health, according to several studies. In fact, it can impact your entire family, as pets can bring those chemicals back inside!

How big is Pamlico Sound?

Pamlico Sound is a hot topic when it comes to shrimp trawling. So how big is Pamlico Sound really?

Depending on who you ask, it stretches 80 to 100 miles long (APNEP puts it at the higher end) and 15–20 miles wide — even over 25 miles wide in places. It’s not a perfect rectangle. Let’s go with the smaller measurements of 80 miles by 15 miles. That’s about 1,200 square miles.

Here are some ways to compare the size of Pamlico Sound.

* The size of an entire U.S. state – Rhode Island is ~1,200 sq mi.

* Over Double Los Angeles – LA is ~500 sq mi.

* Four Charlottes – Charlotte, NC is ~300 sq mi.

* Nearly 2.5x New York City – NYC’s land and water area is 470 sq mi.

*If populated like NYC (29,000 people per square mile), Pamlico Sound could hold over 34 million people. That’s almost the entire populations of VA, NC, SC, and GA.
