PLEASE NOTE: PPR is a very small rescue (we do not have an animal shelter, but Facebook doesn't have 'dog rescue' as a category) that is well known throughout California as one of the few rescues that will take puppies under 3 months old and pregnant dogs. Please do not message us with information on dogs you want us to save. If you have seen a puppy (or puppies) under three months old, or a pregn

ant dog at a local shelter, e-mail us at [email protected]. Please do not take this personally but there is no way we can save every dog that is called to our attention. We also get about 50 pleas per day and are on almost every rescue request list in the state, so we are usually aware of dogs that are in need of rescue. Thanks for understanding.

✨ Elf on the Shelf? More like Pup on the Sofa. ✨

Meet Flint, the happiest little Lab x Shepherd mix this side of the North Pole. He’s friendly, playful, gentle, and very committed to his new December job: supervising holiday cheer from the comfiest spot in the house.

Flint is the last of his siblings still looking for a home — and honestly, he’s too cute to stay on this sofa much longer. 🎄🐾

Meet Pumpkin from our Thanksgiving Litter. Her siblings have all been adopted, so now it’s Pumpkin’s turn to find her family.

Pumpkin is a lab × shepherd blend, about 10 weeks old, and already impressing her foster with her training skills. She knows come, sit, and down, and she’s working on loose-leash walking like a pro in the making.

Pumpkin is a total gem and will be a wonderful addition to any family ready for a smart, energetic puppy.

🎄 North Pole Alert 🎄

One of Santa’s baby reindeer has escaped the workshop! He was last seen in the SF Bay Area wearing glittery antlers and practicing his cuddle skills. Answers to the name Flint.

Flint is a 15-week-old sweetheart (lab x shepherd mix) who specializes in:
- gentle kisses
- tail wags
- snuggling up like he was born to be your holiday movie buddy

Good morning from Lucy, our little pocket-sized ray of sunshine ☀️

At about 8 weeks old, she’s tiny and rocking a sweet, sunny disposition to match that sunflower. With a Yorkie mom and a maybe-Chihuahua dad, Lucy is sweet, petite, and ready to compete for the title of “Best Part of Your Day.”

She’s equal parts cuddle-bug and playtime pro—and she’s looking for a forever home where she can brighten every room she walks into.

This is Flint!

Are you looking for a puppy that will melt your heart? Look no further. Flint is your boy. He is the most gentle of the litter and a super sweet cuddle bug.

Flint is a male Lab mix puppy from the Gold Rush Litter, born on August 14th. His mama is a beautiful Labrador, and his dad is a bit of a mystery… though a few Shepherd-style markings in his siblings give us a clue!

Flint sleeps all night and is a smart and friendly good boy. A little shy at first, he still loves to meet people and crawl into their laps for snuggles. He takes breaks to enjoy a squeaky toy or two, and a good game of tug with his brothers for some fun. Trust us when we say this boy is going to make an incredible life partner. Don't walk, run. He'll do the same for you!

These babies would be so THANKFUL to be matched with their forever homes soon!

Born on or around October 1st, they’ll be ready to go beginning/mid December. Mamma Queenie is a Yorkie (she’s already found her forever family!) who is just the sweetest thing, and we bet these little girls will grow up to be just like her.

Dad is unknown but Lucy and one other pup (already matched) look like chihuahuas with a tiny bit of scruff. SO CUTE!

Meet Flint and Copper! These boys are brothers from the Gold Rush Litter. They were born on August 14th, and their mamma is a gorgeous Labrador retriever. Dad is unknown, although we have a sneaking suspicion there is some shepherd in there somewhere!

Lab mixes are the best! Super friendly and happy, easy to train, and they become your best friend immediately. Both boys are surprisingly chill for their young age, but they are still puppy through and through!

Introducing Duke Ellington, the dapper and delightful boy of the Jazz Club Litter—named for one of the greatest bandleaders of all time. True to his namesake, Duke brings a bold, joyful energy to every room, filling his foster home with rhythm, laughter, and love.

We did an Embark DNA test on his sister, and he seems to be a fetching mix of French bulldog x Boston terrier x pit bull. Based on his current age (DOB 9/1/25) and weight, we estimate he will be between 20 and 30 lbs when he is grown.

This sweet and chunky little crooner is as charming as they come. He adores playing with his sister Billie and the two adult dogs in his foster home, keeping everyone entertained with his bouncy spirit and curious nature. When the toys are put away, Duke’s happy to curl up beside you like the true gentleman he is.

Duke eats heartily, sleeps soundly through the night, and greets each morning with an eager tail and bright eyes. He’s affectionate and alert—always the first to notice something new—and approaches the world with wide-eyed wonder. Of the two pups, Duke is also the most vocal performer, happy to “sing along” when excitement strikes or it’s time to remind you that breakfast is being served a little late!

With his playful curiosity and big, loving heart, Duke Ellington is the perfect mix of energy and affection—a puppy with rhythm, personality, and soul. He’s looking for a forever family who’s ready to dance to his tune, full of fun, cuddles, and lifelong love.

Look at this darling boy! This is Champ from the Champagne Litter! If you are looking to add some sparkle to your life, this bubbly boy is just want you need.

In addition to his scruffy good looks and spot-on puppy dog eyes, Champ LOVES other dogs and kids. He is learning basic commands and he is up to date on shot and already vaccinated, so he is ready to become your portable side-kick on all your adventures. He is super smart and eager to please, and he is well on his way to become a great little dog with amazing manners.

We honestly cannot believe that he is still in his foster home and hasn't found his perfect match yet! Maybe it's you? Meet Scout. Handsome, sweet, and always ready to make new friends.

Scout is a gentle and affectionate boy who loves people. He’ll happily trot over for pets, snuggles, and praise — the more attention, the better! His favorite toys are the ones that crinkle and squeak, but if there’s a dog buddy nearby, he’s always down for a play session.
