We want to make our clients aware of a recent drug recall affecting specific lot numbers of Adequan Single Dose 5ml Vials. The lots are: Lot # 24416 and Lot # 25265P.

We have checked our inventory and can confirm that Bayhill Equine does not have any of the affected lot numbers in stock.

However, if you purchased this medication from an online pharmacy or another source, we encourage you to check the lot number on your bottle or packaging. Do not use a recalled product lot.

If you discover that you have an affected lot or have questions about your medication, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help determine if your horse's medication is impacted and discuss next steps if needed.

AAEP lists the following as EPA registered products/pesticides affective against screwworm for equine:
Claire Bed Bug, Lice and Dust Mite Spray (PLZ Corp.) - Active Ingredient: Permethrin
Co-Ral Coumaphos Flowable Insecticide (Elanco US, Inc.) - Active Ingredient: Coumaphos
Permethrin Insecticide Spray (Elanco US, Inc.) - Active Ingredient: Permethrin
