Poppy, Samantha, and Keeley. This has been an especially difficult kitten season. Just this weekend, Poppy and Keeley came by for a little help. Samantha never made it here. We lost her Sunday night, and she is now buried at The Rose Bush. Keeley will lose her eye. Still, many, many more, are waiting for someone to be able to help them.

There is no point to this post other than to express my frustration at the suffering in the world. We can only do so much.

Look at Leo!!

This boy is a walking miracle! Once burned over a third of his little body, his skin is healing remarkably well! No more oozing bloody sores! No more sleeping on his face because his sides hurt too much. Hopefully, soon, he'll have his collar off, and shortly after that, he'll be ready for his forever home!

A little update on Leo (pics from June 28th)! He is doing marvelously! The dead skin on top is flaking right off, leaving wonderful new skin underneath. We'll post a video as soon as we can!

These beautiful girls have gone home! It was really tough letting them go, but they've gone to a wonderful home with a new mommy and daddy and older sibling! ❤️

Update on Eclipse:

This poor sweet boy has succumbed to his wounds. He is no longer in pain. No longer in need. He is running and playing somewhere beyond where this harsh world can't touch him. No one will ever hurt him again.

I am posting this because I am angry. I am truly saddened and brought to tears at his loss. His former 'people', who were supposed to love him and look after him, burned him on multiple parts of his body. Deliberately. Intentionally. On purpose.

Now, for the SECOND time this year, we are faced with the care of another sweet soul who has been burned. Little Leo has horrible burns on his face and neck. God only knows what he has been through. Despite it all, he still loves to be loved. He wants pets. He loves treats and ADORES Churu.

Cats are amazing animals. They can forgive an entire race after that race has failed them. We have to do better as humans if we are to deserve their love and forgiveness.

Eclipse's former "owners" are still under investigation. No one knows where Leo came from, so justice may never be served for him. All we can do is love him, cure his wounds, and treat him like the king he is.

Dexter and little sister Tilly went home last night. They're the perfect addition to a growing family! Unfortunately, Dexter, in true Dex form, did not want to hold still for pictures. 🤣

Meet Nashville Cat Rescue's newest kitty, Leo! This poor boy showed up at the Wilson Sisters' house, burned something awful! They immediately rushed him to the emergency vet, and a thousand dollars later and many, many meds, he is now heading to foster care. Once he has healed up, he will be available for adoption.

I have to say, it is abhorrent and shocking how anyone can set a living being on fire. I have many things I'd love to say about such people, but I will leave it at this: I hope they burn in Hell for eternity.

Asher: From the smallest, sickliest of the Blues babies, to adopted and in his very own forever home with a family of his own! Evie helped him bathe and get gussied up for his departure. He had a few last-minute photos, and off he went! Check out his photos through his foster journey. Tube fed, emergency vet visit, multiple vet bills, syringe feeding, sleepless nights while we made sure he was still breathing, and carried around in a baby sling.. to healthy, happy, and out the door! Happy tails, Little Man Asher! We'll love you forever! ❤️

Meet Nashville Cat Rescue's Pokémon Brothers! This bonded pair of gorgeous tabby brothers are ready for their forever home! At three months old, they've had all their vetting completed and can move out immediately. Their bags are already packed!

Arven (blue collar) is a social butterfly — playful, energetic, always zooming around, and happiest when he’s play-fighting or napping on your lap.

His (almost) twin brother, Gladion (red collar), is more gentle and thoughtful, but just as playful once he warms up. He loves giving kisses and is a cuddle pro!

Both boys are curious, chatty, love watching the world go by, and always stick together — snuggling, exploring, and keeping each other entertained. They’re inseparable and must be adopted together 💕🐾
