We wanted to take a moment to share a story of why it is important to get your animals microchiped including indoor cats!

Last week this kitty showed up on a clients back deck. Thinking it could possibly be their farm cat that went missing months before, it was invited in and given food and water and a warm room to sleep in.

The cat then came to work with Dr Nik who gave it a full work up to make sure he was doing ok as he was pretty skinny. We ran the microchip wand over it and lo and behold, it was chipped!!

We were able to get the name of the last person the cat was registered to and the last location was in Texas. Worried the info might be outdated and not correct, we called anyways. The phone number was to the owner of the cat and they had moved up here in September however this kitty got out shortly after and they were not able to find it.

The cats name is Pib and he has been reunited with his owners who were beyond happy to have him back. A Christmas miracle! ❤️
