We’re excited to announce a new way we care for your pets—we’re now offering house calls and mobile veterinary services for wellness care!

Whether it’s annual exams, vaccines, routine checkups, or other non-urgent services, we can now bring the care directly to your doorstep.

As a privately owned, veteran-owned, and family-operated veterinary hospital, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our community—this is one more way we can do just that.

Please note: Our mobile services are for WELL patients only. For any sick pets or urgent concerns, our hospital will remain fully available to provide the highest level of care.

Your pets are family—and we’re honored to treat them like ours.

If you happen to be 65 years of age or older, or if you happen to be a Veteran, please be sure to ask for either a Senior discount or Military discount!

From our family to yours, Dr. Hewitt and I would like to thank you for supporting privately owned Veterinary Hospitals!

I'm sure you've heard stories of the rapidly increasing prices in the Veterinary industry. Corporate veterinary groups have acquired 85% of the veterinary hospitals located in the Southern NH & Northern MA region. Unfortunately corporately owned hospitals are designed to prioritize their fiduciary responsibilities toward their equity holders, and pet owners are increasingly being leveraged for increased profits.

Three of our four veterinarians have previously worked in corporately owned hospitals, and we all quickly grew a strong distaste for how owners, pets and staff were being squeezed for the sake of higher profits. At Nashua Pet Care we ardently strive to provide high value and exceptional quality medicine for our local community. We are family owned, Veteran owned, and proudly not corporately owned or operated.

Over the recent months we have grown our in-house capabilities in advanced imaging and advanced surgery. We have also greatly increased our Urgent Care capabilities and availability, allowing us to provide a high level of medicine without any of the corporate price gouging.

The human-animal bond is something to cherish, and respect; not something to leverage for higher profit margins. I have included a few links that help further explain the concerning trends of corporatizing & financializing veterinary care. Please do our community a favor by spreading the word. Tell your friends and family that alternatives to high priced, corporately owned hospitals are available! We look forward to continue caring for you pets!

Dr. Shank will be on vacation during the next two weeks. We will be open next week on a limited basis. We strongly recommend if you need a prescription refilled or need food please come by this week (June 24th - June 28th) as all of our staff will be on vacation July 1st through July 5th so our office will be temporarily closed during that time. Sorry for any inconvenience. We hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
