Dakota graduated today from physical therapy!
She has been coming for a few months for a CCL tear.

A CCL (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) tear in dogs is a common injury, particularly in larger or active breeds. It occurs when the ligament that stabilizes the knee joint is torn or damaged. This ligament is essential for the proper functioning of the stifle (knee) joint, and when it tears, it can cause significant pain, lameness, and instability.

Enzo was here for his physical therapy session today. He’s making great progress, and we’re focusing on strengthening his muscles and improving his mobility. His birthday is coming up soon, and he’s definitely looking forward to the celebrations! We’ll keep working on his rehab to make sure he’s in top shape for all the fun.

Our rehab tech, Ashley, stopped by Alvirne High school this past Friday to educate students in the Veterinary Science Program on Animal Rehab. Her commitment to sharing her knowledge and expertise is making a significant impact, and she’s truly inspiring the next generation of professionals. Ashley’s ability to connect with students and help them grow is a testament to her skill and caring nature. We’re lucky to have her on our team!

Miss Ivy is new to our rehab program and she LIVES for peanut butter. Ivy had a TPLO (Tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) due to a cruciate tear and came to PT to help strengthen her back legs.
