🎃🐾 Halloween is here! We hope you and your pets enjoy all the spooky fun, but remember to keep the candy bowl out of paw’s reach. 🍫👻

A little extra caution can help keep your furry friends safe and happy this Halloween! 🧡

This National Cat Day, we're celebrating our feline companions by highlighting something just as important as belly rubs and treats: their health. 🐾

Cats are naturally skilled at masking discomfort, which means common conditions like kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, dental disease, and diabetes can develop gradually and go unnoticed.

Being aware of a few key signs, changes in thirst, appetite, weight, or energy, can make a meaningful difference in catching these conditions early, when they're most manageable.

Routine wellness visits remain one of the best ways to stay ahead of your cat's health, even when everything seems fine on the surface.

This National Cat Day, consider giving your cat the gift of preventive care. If you have questions or it's time for a checkup, we're here to help. https://vvhidaho-nampa.com/contact/

Glow sticks may be fun for Halloween, but they can be unpleasant for pets who bite into them!

The liquid inside is generally not considered toxic, but it can cause a strong bitter taste, excessive drooling, foaming, and mouth irritation. If your pet chews on a glow stick or glow jewelry, rinse their mouth with water and monitor them closely. 🐾

If symptoms persist or you’re concerned, contact our team for guidance. https://vvhidaho-nampa.com/contact/

Today, tomorrow, and every ordinary day in between. 🐾

Our technicians show up for every patient with the same patience, whether it is a nervous cat, a wiggly puppy, or a senior dog who needs a little extra time. We are so grateful for them this National Veterinary Technician Week and always. 💙

Has one of our techs made a difference for your pet? Let us know!

Decorating for fall? 🍁 Take a quick look inside every storage bin before sealing it up. Curious cats love cozy hiding spots and sometimes they’re a little too good at hiding.

Meet Wayne! 🐾

Born with pectus excavatum, Wayne’s sunken chest was affecting his heart and breathing.

After surgery and six weeks in a custom splint, his chest has been successfully corrected!

Don’t miss his incredible before-and-after. Watch until the end to see the results!

💙 Ask any of our veterinarians, and you will hear the same thing. The care a patient receives depends just as much on the technician standing beside them.

Help us celebrate the people who make quality veterinary care possible this week. 🎉 🐾

Happy Vet Tech Week to the people who pour their hearts, souls, blood, sweat, and tears into caring for the animals who need us most. ❤️🐾

This job is so much more than a job. It’s the long days, the hard cases, the tears we shed, the lives we fight for, and the love we give even when our hearts are heavy. It’s showing up day after day for patients who can’t tell us what hurts, and giving everything we have to make a difference in their lives.

We are beyond thankful for our incredible team and the compassion, dedication, and love they bring through our doors every single day. Veterinary medicine isn’t always easy, but it’s people like you who make it so incredibly meaningful.

To our team, and to every vet tech out there giving their all — you are seen, you are appreciated, and the work you do matters more than words can say. ❤️🐾

If you suspect your pet has been exposed to or ingested something harmful, act quickly but don’t induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional tells you to.

Before calling, have the product label or a clear photo ready, along with your pet’s weight and the approximate time of exposure or ingestion. These details can help your veterinarian determine the safest next steps.

When in doubt, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison service right away. 🐾
