🌾 Cheatgrass and foxtails are everywhere right now — and they can be dangerous for our pets. 🐾

These dry grass awns may look harmless, but they can burrow into paws, ears, eyes, noses, and skin, causing painful infections and sometimes requiring emergency vet care.

Here are a few ways to help protect your pets:
✔️ Avoid walking through tall dry grass and overgrown fields
✔️ Check paws, ears, belly, and coat after every walk
✔️ Keep fur trimmed around feet and ears
✔️ Watch for limping, sneezing, head shaking, swelling, or excessive licking

If you notice sudden discomfort or suspect a foxtail injury, contact us right away.

Check out these ladies we found—engorged and thriving… not to mention the male tick attached to the female. Did you know a female tick can lay 1,000-10,000 eggs in her lifetime! 🤯
This is exactly what we’re up against as temperatures rise. Ticks are already out in full force, and they don’t take long to latch on and start causing problems for your pets.

Meet our newest Customer Service Representative, Ricky 🐾

He’s great with clients, always attentive, and has a strict policy of pawsitive interactions only. Bonus: he insists on supervising all calls personally.

Update: Ricky is no longer a CSR at IPH… turns out he was sleeping on the job and hiding from his responsibilities. We wish him the best in his future endeavors, preferably somewhere with more naps and fewer expectations. 😴
