This pup was rescued from neglect. This is one of the top two worst matting cases I’ve seen in my almost 20 years of rescue and 15 years of grooming. It took 25 minutes to meticulously free the first foot with a surgical blade which kept getting clogged with all the dead skin, hair and dirt trapped under the mats. This little girl was so brave though and we got through it together. Seeing her prancing around with her tail wagging at the end was absolutely amazing. 💜

I love my job. I love taking care of your pets. This is Hudson and today was his first visit with me. His people told me that he’s an anxious boy by nature. He would have done anything to not be dropped off today. That’s why I always give nervous pets time to acclimate while speaking to them gently. In about 10 minutes Hudson had decided I was okay, gave me a few kisses, and laid down in my arms. Time was all he needed, now we can move forward without fear because we’ve already started to build trust.
