Hello C&N Retriever followers,

It pains me to write this update, but I feel it’s important given that many families are eagerly awaiting news. Unfortunately, we do not believe that Maggie and Gunner’s “date” in October was successful. If my calculations are correct, she should have been due in a few weeks, but there are currently no signs of growth or milk production. (Unless, of course, there are just a few little Bob Ross babies developing, IYKYK)

We have decided to not schedule a vet appointment to confirm the pregnancy status at this time. I must admit, it's a crazy month especially with five children. After the New Year, we plan to meet with our veterinarian to discuss next steps and whether we will attempt to breed Maggie again, especially since this would be the second cycle that hasn’t taken.

I want to be transparent with everyone; there was indeed full contact between Maggie and Gunner. I will stand firmly behind what is healthy and best for our fur family. I sincerely apologize to anyone whose hopes I may have raised; we were equally as excited about the possibility of puppies.
