Youth Hunters. Is there anything more exciting than their first deer? Possibly here, yes.

Joey shot his first deer several years ago. When he said he wanted to bring it over to our house, we were honored.

He made “The Door”.

The head sat frozen for a few years. Eventually it would be 😱 boiled ❌. Well, things changed. The beetles came along. And Joey, having learned patience over the years 🤭 😉, waited. Thankfully.

Joey isn’t considered a youth hunter any longer. He’s progressed in countless, phenomenal ways. Keep up the hard work, buddy! Everyone is rooting for you!

Yesterday, he graduated from The Fire Academy! CONGRATULATIONS!!! 👏🏻

You get what you’re willing to wait for.

First Picture
Left- beetled, degreased (for months) and whitened.
Right - boiled, blasted, whitened in a few days.

In the bucket is one that was boiled and blasted that I’m going to try my best to restore. It has been degreasing for months now as well. What you’re seeing is grease. You simply can’t skip this important step if you want a beautiful skull.

A couple before and afters. A nice, bright skull and touch up on the antlers make it pop.

And I’ll bet the other guy left a nice dent somewhere when that nose hit. Ouch.
