As we head into the colder months, we want to take a moment to explain why some of your pets’ walks may be shortened this time of year. We use the chart below as a guideline to determine when temperatures become risky for dogs of different sizes and coat types. Cold weather can affect each pup differently, and factors like wind, moisture, and breed all play a role in how safe a walk truly is.
We know some may assume shortened walks come from convenience, but we want to assure you that every decision we make is based 100% on your pet’s safety and well-being. We care for every dog like they are our own, and that means adjusting walk lengths when temperatures dip into ranges that can be unsafe or even dangerous. A dog may fall under a certain criteria on the below chart. However, if they are taken out and seem to be displaying signs of discomfort, they will need to be brought in after going potty 🩷
Your pets’ health, comfort, and safety will always be our top priority. If a walk needs to be shorter due to weather, we will make sure they still get plenty of love, attention, potty breaks, enrichment, and whatever they need to stay happy in the colder months.
Thank you for trusting us to take care of your furry family members. ❤️🐾
