Your cat does NOT urinate in inappropriate places to make you mad. They are asking for help. They urinate outside the litter box primarily due to medical issues (UTIs, kidney disease), litter box aversion (dirty, wrong location, or type), or stress/territorial marking. It is rarely an act of spite, but rather a behavioral response to discomfort, environmental changes (moving, new pets), or anxiety. Please let us help!

Dr Roxi....how important is blood work for my fur baby?

Blood testing for your baby is very important! It helps me diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions. Blood screening is also necessary for us to understand your pet’s health status and monitor the progress of some illnesses. In addition, routine blood work is part of an effective pet care prevention program to avoid a myriad of diseases or catch them early on, when the odds of recovery are likely better. If your fur baby is being considered for surgery, I will need to run blood work to determine whether they are healthy enough to withstand a surgical procedure and what anesthesia would be best. If you have any additional questions, please call us. We are always available to answer your questions.
