Remember the pregnant Beagle I recently trapped after she had been living on her own for 3 years? We have an update!!!!!

Momma has officially had her babies, and she delivered ELEVEN puppies! That's 12 lives that now have a chance at a completely different future because someone stepped in and gave Momma the opportunity to get to safety before those babies were born.

Rescue takes a village, and this is where WE ALL can help make a difference. If you EVER wanted to donate to a rescue but couldn't decide which one, this one could really use the help!! Momma and her 11 little ones will need food, supplies, veterinary care, and plenty of attention as they grow. AND unfortunately she is heartworm positive and has two tick-borne diseases. 😭

I'm just so glad we got her before those babies were born outside. She would have been absolutely exhausted and may not have cared for them and some may have even perished.

THANK GOD! This Family has been through it the past month and this was a devastating blow. I was getting ready to do the usual scent up the area and place cameras and I gave them my list of suggestions to follow until I got there
Luckily they were driving around searching out of desperation and I believe she heard the car and headed towards them and they saw her coming up the street towards them!!❤️

Sometimes it works like that you never know! Every dog is different!!

THREE YEARS ON THE STREETS. NOW, A CHANCE AT SOMETHING BETTER.
Meet Momma, a Beagle who has survived on her own for at least three years. We don't know where she came from or everything she's endured, but we do know she's been living outdoors, avoiding people, and surviving the best way she knows how.
I was contacted Monday by Andreson who didn't want to see this girl have her third litter outside. Thank you and Bentleys for the referral! Amy, along with her daughter Heather and son in law Noah, have been feeding Momma for three years. She showed up faithfully for breakfast and dinner, twice a day, but never allowed them to get close enough to touch her.
With Momma ready to deliver at any moment, there wasn't time to waste.
I didn't want to trap this girl only to send her to a shelter, especially with puppies on the way. So I reached out to my friend Lola Patolla with Rescue Coop . I asked if she would take Momma and her babies, however many there may be. She said YES!!!!
The plan was put into action, and today, in an hour, she was safe! We were able to get Momma safely out of the life she'd known for the past three years.
Momma now has the opportunity to deliver her puppies in a safe, warm environment, thanks to Lola Patolla and Rescue Co-op. Once the puppies arrive and are ready, the goal is to find each of them a loving home.
This is what rescue is about. Recognizing when an animal needs help, having a plan, and working together to give that animal a chance at a different life.
A huge thank you to Amy, Heather and Noah for feeding Momma and continuing to care about her for three years and forever!! Their concern for her future is what set this plan in motion. And thank you to Lola for stepping up to take Momma and her babies.
Momma has spent long enough surviving on her own. Now, she has a chance to focus on bringing her babies into the world safely.

I was able to guide this family by phone to get their little girl back. I didn't have time to get out there till this evening so I gave her my tips and told her where this little one is probably hiding and she is home!!!

Lil Miss Daisy is home safe and sound. We got a sighting last night that she possibly was walking on Hull Street which is scary and is also a reason we don't chase. We put up more flyers in the area and went home. This morning, two more calls came in with sightings. We went to the area and I asked the owner to get their dog that is closest to Daisy. Along came Denver who had his nose to the ground. I could tell she was close by the way he was acting. We went up over a hill and I saw her hiding in the bushes so I let Denver do his thing. I walked him towards her as he couldn't see her hiding. They locked eyes and tails started whipping!!! She still was frozen but as soon as I got down low with no eye contact, she came running right to me. She is the most adorable little girl!!!
Thank you everyone who kept a lookout and were so concerned about this little one. Beagles are very resilient!!

UPDATE: 🐾😺🐾 SUSHI IS NOW HOME! 🐾😺🐾

Mom and dad were so worried and we're very passionate to help get her home. Initially, as usual with a cat, there were no sightings but then we started to get a few. She was using the sewer system so she was popping up in a few places. We set food and scent items in the area and to keep her there. There was another cat enjoying the feast as well . Mom felt she had to try to get her, she went to the area a few times to see if she could get a glimpse or try to lure her. Last night was the night! She sat waiting for her to emerge out of the sewer. She spoke softly used calming signals and Sushi eventually came to her!! Great job Mama!! So happy she's home before Halloween Lost in Midlothian, Va
