Fetcher’s new one hit wonder!🐾

Hi there, I’m Fetcher, and I’ve got some exciting news to share!
The President of Lab Rescue came to visit me this week — yep, the big boss herself! I was so proud to show off my leash manners on our walk. I’ve been practicing, and I think she was impressed. I stayed calm, focused, and enjoyed every minute of it.

I’ve been with Lab Rescue for a few months now, and honestly, I’m not sure why no one’s scooped me up yet — I’m a fantastic dog! I’m easygoing, friendly, and love being part of the pack. My leash skills have come a long way with a little consitancy i will be a pro. I just enjoy the fresh air and good company.

I’m well‑balanced, great with other dogs, and I absolutely love to play fetch (it’s kind of my thing). I’m also a big fan of people — you can pet me all over, and I’ll lean right in for more. I’m gentle and patient with kids 5 and up, and I’d be thrilled to have a family who loves me as much as I’ll love them.

MEET UNO — THE SNUGGLE SIDEKICK

Hi there, I’m Uno, a happy, wiggly girl who thinks life is best spent right by your side. I’m the kind of pup who melts into your touch and could spend the whole day leaning against you, soaking up pets and giving gentle nudges for more.

I’m all about love and connection — I just want to give and get attention. Whether we’re relaxing at home or out exploring, I’m content as long as I’m near my person.

Recently, I visited a busy local coffee shop and showed off my calm, curious side. I sat quietly, watching people of all ages, bikes whizzing by, and dogs strolling past — all with ease. I even greeted a few friendly faces with my signature tail wiggle and soft eyes.

I’m learning that the world is big and exciting, but it feels safest when I can check in with my human for reassurance. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves affection, enjoys peaceful outings, and finds joy in simply being close, I’m your girl.

*Kids: Snuggle bug. A typical puppy, but with mindful supervision could succeed with families. She met a 7 y/o., 5 y/o, 3 y/o, and 9-month-old. All children had positive interactions, and she was very gentle overall.

*Affection Level: Out of this world. She cannot give enough. She would be a perfect snuggle partner!

*Walk Style: She walks loosely at your side but is still learning how to walk beside you instead of underfoot.

Hi there — I’m Grits.
I’ve been hanging out with Lab Rescue for a year now, and honestly, it’s been a good life. I’m calm, gentle, and never a bother. I like to think of myself as the quiet observer — the guy who takes it all in and appreciates the simple things.

I’m on a little anti‑inflammatory for my old‑age arthritis, but don’t let that fool you — my mobility is good. I get up and down just fine, and I still play with the other dogs like it’s no big deal. I might need a boost to get into the car, but once I’m in, I’m ready for the ride.

I love spending time in the yard, watching the world go by. I’m not pushy or loud — just steady company. People say I’m a pleasure to be around, and I think that’s because I bring a little calm wherever I go.

Pepper’s life has not been easy.

After losing her original owners, she ended up neglected, chained outside, untreated for medical issues, and eventually surrendered again through no fault of her own.

But despite everything, Pepper still loves deeply.

She’s goofy, emotionally intuitive, obsessed with her stuffed octopus, and happiest simply being near her people.

Pepper isn’t a “go everywhere” dog. She’s looking for something quieter:

🤍 continued confidence-building
🤍 someone willing to see the beautiful dog underneath the fear

PLUTO IS SAFE! ❤️🐾

After 5 days, Pluto is safe.

There are so many people to thank who helped make this possible. What began as a heartbreaking situation quickly turned into an incredible example of a community coming together for a dog in need.

Thank you to the shelter staff and their volunteer, our dedicated volunteers, our transporter, who remained in the area for hours searching for Pluto immediately after he escaped and our transporter who picked him up today. We are also grateful for the countless offers from local residents to drive around looking for him, hang flyers and leave food and water. We also appreciate the professional advice given and offer to lend trapping equipment.

A special thank you to Base Police, Caroline County Sheriff's Office, VA and Dispatch, Caroline County Animal Shelter, Virginia, and Team Carolina BBQ. Team Carolina BBQ not only helped hang flyers but also kept a close eye out for Pluto, which ultimately led to our one confirmed sighting during the search.

Thank you to the incredibly generous family who welcomed Pluto into their home when they found him. Their kindness allowed us to safely reunite with him.

We would also like to thank Chenault Veterinary Hospital, Inc. who worked him into their schedule for a same-day appointment. Aside from some sore paws and mild swelling around his neuter incision, Pluto appears healthy.

To everyone who shared his posts, watched for him, spread the word, offered resources, and refused to give up on him—thank you. The outpouring of support from the Bowling Green and Fort A.P. Hill communities were nothing short of amazing.

Pluto is now safe, resting comfortably in foster care. We are so grateful for his foster family for helping him learn what love and care is. ❤️
