Help us give back this Thanksgiving! 🧡

Bound Brook Veterinary Clinic will be collecting food donations from **November 5–19**! All donations will be brought to **The Food Bank Network of Somerset County** to help support our neighbors in need.

If you’re able to contribute, stop by the clinic and drop off your donations, you don’t need an appointment to spread a little kindness!

Thank you for helping us care for our community beyond the exam room. We’re grateful for your support! 🧡

Happy Halloween from your BBVC crew! 🎃🐾

A few reminders to keep your pets safe during tonight’s festivities:

🍬 Hide the candy, and then hide it better. Chocolate and xylitol (in some sugar-free treats) are toxic to pets.

🚪 Watch for escape artists! With the door constantly opening, even your usual couch potato might make a run for it. A quiet room away from the front door is a great place to hang out.

👻 Costumes are optional. If your pet hates it, let them skip it! If they’re happy to dress up, make sure they can see, breathe, and move comfortably, with no little pieces to chew off.

🕯️ Keep decorations out of reach. Curious paws and lit candles are a bad combination. Watch those cords and small decorations, too!

🏷️ Check their ID tags. Make sure your contact information is current, just in case.

❤️ Let them sit out the chaos. Your pet doesn’t need to greet every trick-or-treater. Sometimes a cozy bed and some peace and quiet are the best treat.

If your pet gets into something potentially toxic, call your veterinarian or an emergency vet right away.

Have fun tonight and keep those little candy thieves safe! 🧡

"Everyone meet Mahi! Aka shark, momo, or beast. Mahi is a 9 year old wheaten terrier who is the most rambunctious out of the 3 kids! Although he hates it when his family leaves the house, he has his trusty blanket to suck on for comfort until we return. There is nothing more that he loves than chewing up a brand new toy. He has proven over and over again that dogs that had a rough start to life can heal and teach everyone that it's ok to move on and share love!" - Jenna

Happy Staff Appreciation Week to our BBVC crew! ❤️🐾

While this week is known as Vet Tech Week, we celebrate our entire team because every person here deserves to know how appreciated they are.

To our team: We see how much you put into this job. The busy days, the hard goodbyes, the million things you’re juggling at once, and you still find a way to give our patients extra love and be there for each other.

Thank you for your hard work, your compassion, your humor, and for caring so much. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but please know it matters and it does not go unnoticed.

One week doesn’t feel like enough to say thank you for everything you do. I’m so grateful for you all and proud to be part of this team. ❤️

If someone on our team has made a difference for you or your pet, leave them a little love in the comments! 🐾

"This is Feral Felon
She is the cutest felon around, and even though she is missing an eye she's always on the lookout for trouble. She spends her days judging her brother, Criminal Critter, committing crimes, or lounging in the sun. Although she is a felon, she spent her days when we were in West Virgina saving lives as a blood donor at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital. " -Dominique

Today is World Mental Health Day.

At BBVC, caring for others is a big part of what we do. Today is a reminder that the people doing the caring need care, too.

To our team, our clients, and anyone having a tough time; you deserve kindness, support, and a moment to catch your breath. Check in on someone you love, and make some room for yourself.

A few small ways to make room for yourself :
Take a break, step outside, stretch
Check in with someone you trust
Make time for something you enjoy
Give yourself time to rest, eat regularly and stay hydrated
Take a break from scrolling when it starts to feel overwhelming

Small steps can help, and reaching out for professional support is a way to care for yourself, too.

If you or someone you love needs support, these resources are available in New Jersey :

NJ Mental Health Cares: 1-866-202-4357
