We strive to improve biodiversity on our Ranch, while supporting education and positive interaction between visitors and our animal residents. Rusty Truck Ranch is a 40 acre family farm located in Medical Lake Washington. We will be open to the public in the Fall of 2021 for our second annual pumpkin patch & petting zoo. We are conveniently located at the edge of downtown Medical Lake, off Highway

902, just East of Fox Hollow Ridge & Lakes Harvest Foods. We lovingly raise sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, horses, bees, kitties, pups, and we love adding new additions! We are excited to share our love of farm life with our local community, as well as some of the farm fresh products from our land and animals: honey, pumpkins, sheep’s milk soap and more! We have made some new additions to this years list of Pumpkin Patch activities including: a hiking trail, a corn bin to play in for the kiddos, petting/feeding zoo, private fire pits, and mini photo sessions with Mountain Inspired Photography! We look forward to adding more family friendly events in the future, and hope to see you at the Pumpkin Patch!

🍻GOOD NEWS, PUMPKIN PATCH FRIENDS! 🎃
We’re adding a little extra cheers to Pumpkin Patch season! 🍎✨
On select weekends, we’ll be hosting a beer garden on the Ranch in partnership with ❤️ All Heart Infusion ❤️ to help raise money for their incredible mission of providing infusion care at no cost to patients!

So, if you’re planning your pumpkin-picking adventure and thinking, “You know what would make this even better?” … we’ve got you. 😏🍺

All Heart will be poppin’ tops on:
🍻 October 11
🍻 October 17
🍻 October 18
🍻 October 24
🍻 October 25

Come pick a pumpkin, soak up the fall vibes, and enjoy a hard cider (or beer!) on the Ranch while supporting a wonderful cause. ❤️🎃
Pumpkins + crisp fall air + a cold drink + giving back = a pretty great day! 🍂🍻

Post sedation nap time!

Pasty got topped off twice after her initial sedation dose, and is still pretty sleepy despite the reversal but she is enjoying a nice grassy nap.

Thank you newstreamvet for coming out to pull the quills from Patsy today! We really appreciate it!

I hope your Monday is starting out better than Patsy’s! Some lessons are learned the hard way.

She of course will not let me get close to the quills so here comes a farm call. 🤕

Two new friends came home to live on the Ranch!

We are excited for our current alpaca, Harrison, to have a few friends of his own kind. Harrison loves his goats, but I can’t wait to see what his reaction is!

What should we name them? I was thinking Harrison, Ringo, and Lenny (Lennon) might be cute (they are both boys)! What do you think? Throw out some ideas for us!

I am so pumped for baby calves and I have been watching our girls closely for signs of nearing delivery. ❤️

We had our cows live covered for about 6 months, meaning we had a bull in with them (and did not Artificially Inseminate). Although we know all of our cows were bred, we never had them preg-checked so their due dates are just an estimate. Udder changes (and later ligament softening and lengthening) are things we are and will be monitoring.

Last week I noticed some changes in Martina’s udder which was surprising as she we thought she was bred last. She actually has a good bit of colostrum that can be expressed so now I am rethinking our delivery sequence, but time will tell! We are hoping to have 3 white calves with dun or black points like our bull.

We are looking forward to having visitors meet them this Fall! 🍂🎃

We have just two baby goats left from kidding! A little wether and doe that are brother and sister. Neither were disbudded but the doe never grew in horns (naturally polled) 🐐

Please excuse the goat butt in the photo- we have a couple that get very excited to see us and are often “in the way” all the time!
