Preliminary OFAs came back for Garmr. Normal Elbows and Good Hips!

Garmr has been spending the past month with a friend and fellow trainer who is teaching him all about being a lovely house dog and pet. He may not be suited as a patrol dog but he is a lovely pet for an active person. He would make an excellent deterrent dog, protection sport dog, or active pet. He’s house trained, knows basic obedience, and has a bitework foundation.

I kept this guy back because he was the “dud.” He was more insecure and needy than the rest of the group, not as confident or driven, super sensitive and clingy. I did not keep him back thinking he would end up being arguably the most handsome of the bunch 😅 He has since matured into a lovely dog with more drive and confidence than expected!

Another lovely puppy update for Yggdrasil’s Brynhildr von Nine Realms “Nalu”. This was my social and spicy lady. She loved to bite everything and had a ton of drive but also was in love with everyone and dog she met.

Kovacs x Zajka Norse Litter 2025

“Hi!! I just wanted to give you an update on “Nalu” (nah-loo).

She is amazing! She was basically potty trained when I got her. Just a few days of minor accidents. Crate training had been a breeze. She was good within 10 mins day one and loves it. She’s incredibly smart and has so much drive to learn. We’ve trained multiple times a day since day one.

Her grips are insane. I had to teach “release” within 4 days bc I could no longer open her mouth 😂 she loves frisbee and ball. Shes had a lot of adventures so far and has been tubing, paddle boarding, lots of lake days, starting to get braver there and traveled 2 + hrs and stayed at different places.

She loves everyone. Has an awesome personality. She’s observant, confident, and strong. Great with Baylee as well and my Moms dog. We love her! Def a land shark and has a crazy witching hour after dinner every night. Thank you for doing an amazing job with her before I got her.”

The three boys have been having lots of adventures in new places. This was a trip to some stairs in a parking garage last week. Kvasir (or Pudge), Vidar (or Takeshi), and Sköll (maybe he’ll get a nickname). Each of them is very unique in their personality and I adore them all for it!

Many of you were wondering what happened to the three boys from the Kovacs x Zajka Norse litter. At this time, I have held back all three of them as potential dual purpose/working K9 prospects.

The last litter taught me a lot in regard to holding onto pups longer to see how they mature for work. So this time around I’m making sure I get a keeper or two for work.

Green Male Vidar on the left, Blue Male Kvasir or Pudge on the right, Black Male Skoll at my feet. I’m really enjoying each of their personalities so far! 💚💙🖤

Garmr from the Herja x Xerxes 2024 Spectral Hound Litter, 7.5months

I kept back Garmr as a patrol dog prospect. As he has matured, he has shown he’s a bit too gentle/soft of temperament to cut it as a patrol dog. This means that he is now on the hunt for a new career and person/family and will make some lucky person very happy.

Garmr is crate trained, house trained, rides great in a car, up to date on vaccinations, and will have OFA prelims done July 10. He can settle in the house nicely and will come with some basic obedience. He’s been to lots of pet friendly stores and walks nicely. High ball drive, medium/high hunt, started in tracking, started in protection (left bicep), and started in detection hunting for a ball. He does well with kids. He is dog selective so a home with no other dogs will probably be best. He does get along with all my dogs though.

He would make a great active pet, deterrent/personal protection dog, sport dog (IGP, PSA, nosework, agility), and potentially a nice service dog for a handler that has experience with GSDs.

And the last little lady to leave is Red - Yggdrasil’s Skadi von Nine Realms. Skadi is moving across the state to join a lovely family where she will go on many adventures! I look forward to hearing about all of them!
