Heat can be hazardous for dogs. If they are panting hard, drooling excessively, or losing coordination, there is a chance that your dog is experiencing heat stroke. Immediately bring your dog inside the air conditioning, pour cool (not ice-cold) water over them, and take them directly to an emergency veterinary clinic. Heat stroke can be fatal and can come on very quickly, so it’s best not to take chances.
