There is a litter of 7 puppies in need of a foster home!

They are 5 weeks old and weigh 4-5 pounds. Super sweet!!! Contact us if you are able to open up your home. We have all the supplies needed to care for them. Thank you!

We are always looking for foster homes for litters of puppies (sometimes there is a mama dog and other times there is not). Time commitment could range from a few days to a few months (if they are newborn pups). Please contact us if you’d like to open your home to a litter of puppies!

Do you like art? Looking for a quirky gift? Or simply love supporting a local animal rescue?

If so, you should join our Doodley Pet portrait fundraiser for Redwood Pals Rescue! Simply make a donation and we will draw your pet. Keep in mind this is for the love of animals and some laughs! We are NOT artists by trade.

To get your pet portrait, simply click the donate button in this post (suggested donation of $10 per drawing, though more will be put to good use as well), then comment on this post with your pet's name and photo.

Our dedicated volunteers will let their creative juices flow and will post your doodle drawing as a reply to your comment within 24hrs. Please keep the number of pets in a photo to 1 or 2 so our artist will know who the star is.

No AI here, just volunteers with a sense of humor and desire to raise money for Humboldt's dogs in need!

Submissions will close at noon on May 8th. If you adore the creation, a physical copy can be picked up from a volunteer at the Humboldt county animal shelter on either May 9th or 10th between 11 and 2.

We have this cute little guy, Duke, in our care. He came to us with an old wound on his leg that we are now having treated. Duke is quite people and dog friendly. He could use a foster home to stay in while his treatment continues. He will be up for adoption through us also, so any Foster will have first opportunity to adopt! Duke is probably between 8 and 10 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. Please message us here or at [email protected] for more information.

Redwood Pals took in a very pregnant dog that came to the shelter after her owner was arrested. We agreed to give her a safe place to have her pups and take care of them until they were old enough to leave their mama. Our valiant foster is caring for Mama and 11 puppies! They are four weeks old now and doing great! Mama will stay with us until she is spayed and then return to her owner. Fostering is so rewarding! Let us know if you are interested in learning motel. This foster has taken in two large litters in a row and will be ready to take a well-earned break after this batch!
