Hi there! My name is Sage, I am about 3 years old and they say I am a Chihuahua Mix. My old owner wasn't very nice to me! I am working very hard to be a loving companion but sometimes I get scared! I am looking for a home with older children or an elderly woman. I get a little scared around men, so I prefer women. My name is Jimmy, I am nearly 7 years old and a terrier mix. My previous owner hurt me really, really bad so I growl when I am uncomfortable or nervous. Since I was hurt so bad, I am learning how to love and trust people again. I get along with other dogs, but I'm not really sure what a cat is like. Australian shepherd in need of a new forever family!!
* his name is Bandit
* he is 3 years old
* he is neutered and up to date on his shots (I have a little file with info on him)
* he is a sweet little love that likes attention and to snuggle 💜
* he has tons of energy 😊
* he has a barking issue - we have almost an acre and dogs on the other side of 3 different fences. I notice a difference in more barking if he's not been taken on a run or bike ride /run.. and less barking when he's been running - he does have a barking collar. we try to use it as little as possible...
* for whatever reason, he keeps attacking Mumford, our Chesapeake bay retriever. he gets along great with our Maltese/bischon frise/poodle mix... this is very hard for us because Mumford is probably the sweetest dog ever born. we feel so bad that Bandit hasn't stopped this behavior...
* we have taken him to the dog park, the river, camping and he does great. a couple of times he's taken off barking at someone. if he's on his leash, he is much better behaved.
* he is very smart and listens to commands
* he will sit, shake both of your hands, lay down, roll over...
* we love him, but feel we are not providing everything he needs 😕
we have had him for about 7 weeks. he has greatly improved since we got him (he had a much bigger barking problem), but the stress levels in our house are still to high (because of his behavior) and I'm sure that the stress affects him as well...
anyway, any help you can offer in finding the best fit for him is greatly appreciated. we want him to have a fun, loving home.
