A & L Feed is a family-owned business that has been serving the Humboldt County region for over 35 years. We are located in McKinleyville, CA inside the historic McKinleyville Store. We proudly feature Humboldt-made products, and work diligently to stock our shelves with locally-sourced inventory. When you shop with us, your dollars remain right here at home. We carry a wide range of feed and anim

al products, from hay and alfalfa, to Avoderm and Solid Gold dog foods. Need fencing? A & L also carries a full line of electric fencing supplies, including AC and DC chargers and solar powered chargers, as well as the traditional wire fencing for chickens, goats, hogs, horses and cattle. We also pride ourselves as being Humboldt's poultry headquarters, offering fan-favorite chicken varieties like Ameraucanas and Leghorns as well as the less-common heritage breeds like Old English Bantams, Dorkings and Cochins. A & L also supplies heritage turkeys, exotic game birds, guinea fowl, ducks and pheasants. Many of our chicks, ducklings and goslings are hatched locally by our friends and employees. For household pets we carry small pet foods and supplies, exotic and wild bird foods and even koi food and pond supplies. Our wide array of pet foods includes Diamond Naturals, Taste of the Wild, Solid Gold, Avoderm, Merrick, Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Chicken Soup, and many more. For the big critters we carry some of the best hay and alfalfa coming out of the Yreka valley, as well as a full line of Purina, Bar Ale and Modesto Mills Organic feed products. A local, organic nursery supplies all of our fruit and vegetable starts, and our knowledgeable staff will help resolve any gardening qualms you may have. Of course, the first step to a successful garden is the pollinators, and that's why we supply Mason Bee cocoons, houses and lures as well as honey bee supplies. Here you can find assembled apiaries, frames, beekeeping suits, gloves, swarm kits and mite treatments. Our beekeeping wood ware is all made in Humboldt County.

Alright, we had some demand so we have 1 more shipment of chicks coming. If they arrive on Thursday we will put them for sale on Friday morning. If they arrive on Friday we will put them for sale on Saturday morning. I will post when they arrive. If you’d like to support a wonderful group and have fun at the same time time make plans to attend Redwood Pals Rescue 2nd annual Barks & Brews this Saturday, July 18th! It is a dog-friendly brew festival featuring a variety of craft beer from the Humboldt Homebrewers. You’ll be able to enjoy unlimited tastes in the indoor/outdoor event space with your canine companions, as well as live music, food vendors, raffles, and you can meet some adoptable dogs from the shelter.
