The Force is strong with these three! Jar Jar, Lando, and Rey came to Good Mews from a stray mom, and they’ve already begun their journey from timid padawans to confident little Jedi. While they may be a bit shy at first, once they feel safe, they warm up quickly and are full of playful energy.

This adorable trio loves chasing toys, exploring their galaxy (aka the kitten room), and curling up together in nap puddles—yes, that means a snuggly pile of kittens! Whether they're zooming around like starships or snoozing like pros, they're sure to bring a galaxy of love and joy to their forever home.

These sweet kittens would love to be adopted in pairs or as a trio—after all, adventures are better with friends! Come meet Jar Jar, Lando, and Rey and let them charm you with their out-of-this-world cuteness.

Hello! It’s your friend Max. Can you believe it is almost May?? The year is flying by. But a few exciting things go on in May. One, the shelter and foster homes will be full of kittens! It’s that time of year! I sometimes look at them running around in the kitten room and it exhausts me. I was crazy like them when I was little, but I am almost 7 years old, so those days are gone. Which brings me to another exciting thing happening in May-it’s my birthday! May 6th to be exact! I’d really love a chance at a forever home for my birthday, but I’m just really having a hard time in that area. I was returned in 2021 and so far, nobody has wanted to adopt me. But I’m not here to talk about that! I’m here to ask for some b-day presents! Like I mentioned, we’ll have a ton of little ones soon and we need some items to help keep the shelter clean. And there are a few things we are very low on. So if you want to buy me a gift, I’ really love it! Cleaning items we really need are 13 gal. trash bags, large refill of Windex, and paper towels! Boring stuff for us kitties, but the humans really appreciate it! And a fun thing for kitties-Churu!! If you can imagine, we go through a ton of Churu so I really hope someone buys that for me! So be sure to come by and give me a b-day hug and if you want to buy a gift, you can drop off at the shelter or order from our Amazon wishlist or the Churu from our friends at Chewy !

Curly (now Hubbub) was adopted on Saturday and his new dad sent us this update and pics! 😍

He began to acclimate to my apartment very quickly. He was eating, drinking, grooming, playing and using his litter box within hours of arriving. He loves his wand toys and rubbing up on people. He’s such a sweet boy and I can tell he was treated really well under y’all’s care. Thank you so much for introducing me to my new best friend!

Hi everyone! It’s Heath! Is anyone out there looking for a very active, high-energy, playful kitty? Well, look no further because here I am! I came to GM as a kitten and was quickly adopted. I had a kitty friend in my home, but sadly he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. My adopter wasn’t in the position to get another cat and since I am so active, I was too much for her to handle so it was decided I come back to GM. And that’s OK! Now we know what type of home I would do best in and that is what our counselors will focus on. So not only am I playful, I am also very sweet! So in my next home, I will need another equally high-energy cat or a family that can keep up with me. Maybe some kids that will play with me, or adults that work from home and will spend a lot of time with me? I wouldn’t do well being alone for several hours a day. So if you are looking for a kitty like me, come by this weekend! We’re open on Saturday from 10-4 and Sunday, 1-4. We absolutely LOVED having the Girl Scout Troop 12412 here earlier this month! Together, they raised $550 which they generously donated to Good Mews!! 🎉🎉

We also had the opportunity to teach the group what to do if they see kittens outside, how to understand cat body language, how to approach and hold cats, and more! And they did an amazing job interacting and playing with the kittens! 😻

Happy Friday! I’m Andreas and I am at Good Mews waiting for my forever family to find me. I came to GM with my brothers, Alexi and Adonis from a home that had too many kitties. We were thankful to have this chance. My brothers scored an awesome home last weekend and now I am hoping I have the same luck this weekend! I’m a little on the shy side, but once I warm up and feel safe and secure, I will be a fun friend for someone. I like to run around the shelter and check out what’s going on. I loved snuggling with my brothers, so I’d really enjoy a home with another friendly cat to play and snuggle with. Will you come by and meet me? We’ll be open on Saturday from 10-4. Hi friends! It’s Teddy B! How are you? I’m doing great now that I am safe at GM and a forever home will be coming along soon. Well, I am hoping that is what will happen! I used to live outside and it was not fun at all. I was wandering around a neighborhood, searching for food and shelter. I was so hungry and nervous! Thankfully, I ended up at the right house because the homeowner saw how I was struggling, and she took me in and fostered me until space opened up here. I was so grateful to finally get regular, yummy meals and lay my head down to sleep peacefully and not have to keep one eye open, hoping something didn't attack me! But now here I am, safe and loved. And hopefully my next chapter in life is a human to call my own.
So a little about me! I’m a gentle boy with a lot of love to give to someone. I’m very sweet and affectionate…and yes, handsome as well! I love sitting in cat trees, watching the wildlife outside. I enjoy the company of other kitties and would often give my foster brothers head bonks. I would love a home with another friendly cat to be pals with. I do tend to linger by exterior doors when people come and go, so to ensure I stay safe, it would be best that I go to a home with experienced cat people.

Heinz was adopted in February and is doing great in his home! He is getting along with his new dog and cat siblings and loves his parents. He went on his first camping trip last week and loved it! We are so happy for Heinz and his family! 🥰
