Update from Leo and Mercury’s mom! 🥰

Celebrating my six-month anniversary with these beautiful GM kitties, Leo (Jonesy) and Mercury (Ripley). I absolutely adore them. In the winter months they like to sit in their giant "poofs" by their very own picture window. This spring they enjoy spending countless hours on their catio--my screened back porch--where they watch birds, deer, bunnies, and chipmunks. They are incredibly affectionate, bonded, and playful, and they are the best companions. I am so lucky and so very thankful to Good Mews for caring for them while they waited for their new home.

Hi friends! It’s Adonis! My brothers Alexi, Andreas, and I were rescued from a county animal shelter. We were so thankful that we got to come here. My brothers have both found loving families, but I am still here. To be honest, I have mixed emotions about it. I am very happy for them, but I do miss them, so I am a little sad. I am a tad shy but once I am comfortable, I am a very sweet, loving guy. I like to play and explore. I also want all the other GM kitties to be my friend, but some have been picking on me. I won’t name any names because I don’t want to rat on anyone, but I don’t know what I have done to them to deserve such treatment, because like I said, I am very nice. Do I have “pick on me” stamped on my forehead?? Oh well…nothing I can do about it, I guess. I just hope I find my forever home soon. I’d really love a home with another friendly kitty I can play with. I also like to snuggle so I’d like my new friend to like to snuggle too. So if you have a kitty that needs a gentle friend, will you come and meet me? We are open on Saturday from 10-4 and Sunday, 1-4. Four kitties went home during the week-siblings Catherine and River (together), Han Solo, and Keramithi. And today three kitties went home-Corva, Raisin, and Thelonious Monk! 🎉

37 lives were changed yesterday! 🎉❤️

Thanks to donations from the Fisher Family Foundation and Petco Love and the hard work of the Good Mews team, we successfully completed 37 spay/neuter surgeries during yesterday’s Community Event.

Every single one makes a big difference—for the cats, their families, and our community.

Hello friends! It’s Maverick! That’s me, hugging my brother, Tom Tom. We came to GM when our human became ill and was unable to care for us. At first, we were both scared and confused. We stayed huddled up together, trying to make sense of where we were and why. But as time went on, and the GM Kitty Buddies spent time with us, we started to feel more comfortable. Tom Tom is now OK and is sociable and loves attention from humans. I am still a bit shy, but I am getting better. I do like it when humans pet me, but I haven’t yet gotten to the comfort level where Tom Tom is. But I am optimistic that when we find our new family and I settle into a home, I will be social and outgoing too! We just need someone to fall in love with us and ask to adopt us.
So when the vote went out on who would be the Featured Cat for June, Tom and Tom and I got the most votes from our roomies! We are so excited and thankful for having such good feline friends here at GM. So wish us luck! And if you are looking for two bonded brothers to join your family, please consider us! We are open on Saturday from 10-4 and Sunday, 1-4.

We are so happy that our sweet, shy Cider found his new family today! He came to Good Mews as a kitten in November and was very nervous and reserved in the kitten room, so he was overlooked on adoption days. Then he got the dreaded ringworm and was in isolation for several weeks. Once he was finished with his treatment, he was released into the main shelter. While still shy, he was gladly accepting pets from people. But after waiting 7 months he finally went home! He will be joining Luna, adopted in 2023 and T-Bone, adopted in 2024! 💜
