🥵 ⚠️ Heat Warning for Pets ⚠️🥵
🌡️ With the current high temperatures for the upcoming days, please remember to take extra precautions and keep your fur babies safe, during this hot weather.
🐾 Please do not walk or exercise dogs during peak temperatures. Walk them either early morning or late evening. But remember missing a walk will not harm your dog, but a walk in the heat could.
🚗 Please do not leave your dogs in hot cars, even for a short amount of time. They are unable to regulate their body temperature in the same way we do ⚠️
✋ During this weather pavements can get extremely hot, so if it’s too hot for your hand, then it’s too hot for their paws.
🐶 Older, overweight, large and brachycephalic breeds are at higher risk of heat stroke.
💧Make sure all fur babies have constant access to fresh water and cool/ shaded areas.
⚠️ Signs of heat stroke include:
- Excessive panting
- Drooling
- Difficult breathing
- Increased heart rate
- Seizures
- Weakness/ collapse
Please remember dogs feel the heat more than us humans! 🥵
If you think your dog is suffering from heat stroke please seek veterinary advice immediately. ☎️
