July 1st, 2026 was an historic day for veterinary medicine in Minnesota!
We're thrilled to celebrate an important change as our Certified Veterinary Technicians are now officially recognized as Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) under Minnesota law.
This new title reflects the advanced education, clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication these professionals bring to veterinary medicine every day. From monitoring anesthesia and assisting in surgery to providing nursing care, performing laboratory diagnostics, educating clients, and advocating for their patients, LVTs are an essential part of the healthcare team.

🐾 Staff Pet Sunday: Meet D! 🐾

This handsome guy is D, Emily's 7-year-old Pitbull/Lab mix. His hobbies include perfecting the art of being a couch potato, supervising snack time, and occasionally reminding everyone that he's still got a wild side by attempting unauthorized adventures on the golf course green. ⛳🏃‍♂️

When he's not plotting his next escape, D can usually be found hanging out with his favorite feline friend, Salem, or patiently tolerating the antics of his crazy sibling, Temperance. ❤️🐶🐱

🐱🤔 Dog? Cat? We're still not sure.

This week's Staff Pet of the Week is Tricia's cat, Jeff!
While technically a cat, Jeff enjoys playing fetch, chewing on things, and running to his food bowl with the enthusiasm of a Labrador.

His favorite hobby, however, is making sure no lap stays empty for long. Sit down for even a second, and Jeff is there, ready for cuddle duty.
We think someone forgot to tell Jeff he's a cat. 😂❤️
