Our website is temporarily unavailable as we work behind the scenes to build a new and improved one. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this transition over the next few weeks.

As a reminder, Austin German Shepherd Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit. Our dedicated volunteers balance their rescue responsibilities with full-time jobs, families, and other commitments. We are doing our very best to respond to comments, messages, and inquiries as quickly as possible during this time.

🐾 RUH-ROH! OUR WEBSITE IS DOWN! 🐾

Looks like our German Shepherds aren’t the only ones causing a little chaos! 🐕💻

The AGSDR website is currently experiencing technical difficulties, and unfortunately, this isn’t a quick fix.

Our webmaster is working to get things back up and running as soon as possible, but it may take a little time.

❤️ Please bear with us! In the meantime, we’re still here, still rescuing German Shepherds, and in the meantime, checking our social media messages!

MILO PUPDATE🐾

Remember Milo? This sweet boy came to us from BARC Animal Shelter, where he was on “the list.” 💔

When Milo arrived, he was in bad condition. He was skin and bones, battling a severe skin infection and mange, and had tested positive for heartworms. But Milo was given a second chance, and just LOOK at him now! 🥹❤️

✨ He’s gaining weight and getting stronger!
✨ His skin has healed, and his beautiful fur is growing back!
✨ He’s officially started heartworm treatment!
✨ Most importantly, he’s getting the love and care he deserves!

Milo still has a road to recovery ahead of him, but the transformation we’ve already seen is incredible!

To everyone who donated toward Milo’s rehabilitation and medical care, THANK YOU! ❤️ Your generosity is helping turn his second chance into a beautiful new beginning.

This is what rescue is all about. This is why we do what we do. 🐾

Every pup who comes through our rescue gets their very own photoshoot with Jettie, and somehow, she manages to capture not just their beautiful faces, but their goofy personalities, soulful eyes, and everything that makes them special.

We truly believe so many of our happily-ever-afters have happened because of Jettie. Her photos help people fall in love with our shepherds before they ever meet them. And in rescue, that can make all the difference. ❤️

Jettie, we will never be able to thank you enough for saying YES to photographing our shepherds and using your incredible talent to help them find their forever families.

Our girl Stevie has officially been available for adoption for over 2 months, and we genuinely don’t understand how this perfect little angel hasn’t been scooped up yet. 🥹🐾

At about 50 lbs., Stevie is a smaller German Shepherd with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. She’s never met a stranger—human or canine—and firmly believes everyone she meets is her new best friend.

👏 Knows “sit” + has great recall
🧠 Super smart, eager to please + food motivated
