This past week we found ourselves flooded with puppies (and yes, some are still available). When that happens sometimes the sweet little ones can be overlooked. This is Loki and 1 year old white Golden Retriever/Husky. I've been watching him play in the yards and while he's walking with the volunteers he's a happy, playful pup, ready to find his forever home . Don't let this charmer slip under the radar come meet him today!

The animals below are STRAYS turned into the PWC Animal Services Center between 05/29/2026 - 06/01/2026. We post photos of stray animals brought to the Center a couple of times each week to help owners find their missing pets. This posting is a courtesy only and we will not answer questions via Facebook about animals pictured here. If you believe your pet is at the Center, please inquire directly by calling (703) 792-6465, emailing [email protected] or visiting the Center.
Reminder, proof of ownership is required to redeem your pet and you should provide proof of current rabies vaccination at the time of redemption. These pictures should not be considered all-inclusive and if you have lost your pet, you should immediately contact the Center.
Lost pets may be redeemed daily as early as 8AM, including the days the Center is closed. Our hours of operation are:
Monday: CLOSED FOR BUSINESS
Tuesday-Friday: 11AM - 5PM
Saturday: 10AM - 4PM
Sunday: Noon - 4PM

We named him Marlin, but instead of finding him in the ocean, you’ll usually find him hiding under all that fur! He’s a master of disguise and a professional at spinning people around his furry finger.😂

Paws-itively nuts over here! 🐾 We've got a crazy crew of 8 adorable 2-month-old Hound Mixes - Buckeye, Pecan, Hazelnut, Cashew, Chestnut, Peanut, Almond, and Macadamia. Come hang out and meet the gang (and a few other furry puppy friends) waiting for their furever homes! 🐶

This is one focused look.
Meet Thaddeus Micah! With a name like that, you know this guy is one of a kind. Thaddeus is a young 1-year-old adorable goofball and he's looking for a loving home. His previous owner said that Thaddeus truly believes he's just one of the humans. He'll gladly join you to lounge on the couch and watch TV, go for a hike, or any adventure you can dream of. Thaddeus just wants to be part of it all. His previous owner also notes that he's great with kids of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will always keep you smiling, Thaddeus Micah is your guy!
