Bella is anemic and has an infection.
She had an antibiotic, anti inflammatory injections, on pain meds.
Unfortunately she will not be able to continue nursing her babies
Bella is doing much better than when we dropped her off at our vet this morning

Bella needs all the good vibes, prayers, and positive thoughts tonight.

A week ago, Bella and her five babies came into our care. She has been an amazing mom—sweet, loving, and devoted to her kittens.

Today, everything changed. She suddenly began doing flips and seemed unable or unwilling to care for her babies. We rushed her to the emergency hospital. So far, her test results have come back negative, and the ultrasound didn't show any obvious cause for what's happening. She did have a temp of over 105.

Right now, we're hoping and praying she can make it through the night until our rescue veterinarian opens in the morning and can evaluate her further.

Please keep Bella in your thoughts tonight. Her babies need their mama, and we're all rooting for her.

Bella, the beautiful mama in this picture, is on her way to the ER. She has suddenly started behaving extremely erratically and she will be examined and treated by the ER vets. We need funds to help her. We will post the bill/estimate as soon as we have it. All donations to Bella will count towards our current $1,500 challenge. We appreciate your support and Bella needs it. Haymarket area, please keep an eye out and contact Must Love Cats Rescue or us with any sightings…day or night please

On Tuesday this girl escaped her carrier and fled in Haymarket. We last had eyes on her Tuesday mid day and have traps set in three locations. Cross streets are Washington Street and St Paul Drive.

She is a fearful kitty and about 10 months old. She was coming in for her spay and her carrier fell apart and she ran.

If you live in this area please keep eyes open for her. Her name is Cayenne.

These sweet babies are currently requiring around-the-clock supportive care. Because of their intensive needs, our Executive Director is fully dedicated to caring for them and is unable to assist with trapping requests at this time.
We appreciate your understanding, patience, and support as we focus on giving Koda and Wisp the care they need. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they continue their journey toward recovery. 🐾💕

We took Koda and Wisp to the vet for precautionary diagnostic testing, and unfortunately both girls tested positive for panleukopenia (PanLuk). At this time, neither is showing any symptoms, and we are monitoring them closely while providing supportive care.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as our Executive Director is providing supportive care for them at a separate location to help ensure the health and safety of all the animals in our care.
Koda and Wisp are doing well currently, and we will continue to share updates as appropriate. While this news is concerning, we are encouraged that both girls remain symptom-free. We're taking every precaution and will continue to monitor them closely 🧡

Tomorrow is a big day for Koda and Wisp as they head to the vet for diagnostic testing.

Many of you may remember Simba and his sister, who were both diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Because of that history, we want to be proactive and make sure these two little ones are healthy and developing normally.

While neither Koda nor Wisp is showing major concerns, early testing can help us identify potential issues and ensure they receive the best care possible. We'd rather check and be reassured than miss something important.

Please keep Koda and Wisp in your thoughts tomorrow and send some positive vibes their way. We know firsthand how important early diagnosis and intervention can be.
