** ** 🛍️🐍

We’ve been *busy* busy. Like “had to call in reinforcements” busy.
The past week has been absolutely wild, and this week is already shaping up to be just as packed — which means we’ve brought up **more animals** to keep up with the crowds 👀🔥

And yes… the rumors are true.

✨ **LEIF the Rhino Rat Snake is BACK.** ✨
One of our absolute **rock stars**, fan favorite, crowd-stopper, camera-hogging legends has returned to the floor. You’ve been asking about him for a long time, and we finally said… fine, we’ll give the people what they want 😏

⚠️ Fair warning though:
Leif does **not** live on display forever. His appearances are limited, his schedule is mysterious, and when he rotates out — he *really* rotates out.

So if you’ve been waiting…
If you’ve been asking…
If you’ve been telling your kids “next time”…

👉 **This is your sign. Come visit soon.**

Drop a 🐍 in the comments if you’ve met Leif before
Drop a 👀 if this will be your first time

🚨We need your help🚨

Our surrendered Philippine water monitor needs to be spayed to prevent serious health complications. This surgery is an unexpected expense and critical for her long-term health. If you’re able to donate or share, every bit helps us give her the care she needs. Thank you for supporting her and the animals in our care. 🦎💚

We’re reaching out for help for one of our rescues, a female Philippin… Meghan DeSantis needs your support for Help Our Rescue Monitor Get Life-Saving Surgery

This weekend, and this weekend ONLY, Leif will be making his appearance at the storefront!

This life-sized reconstruction shows Megalania, a colossal monitor lizard that roamed Australia during the Ice Age.

Reaching up to 23 feet long and weighing over a ton, it was the largest terrestrial lizard ever known.

Armed with powerful jaws, serrated teeth, and venom similar to modern Komodo dragons, Megalania dominated its ecosystem.

Fossils suggest it hunted giant marsupials before vanishing around 40,000 years ago—likely due to climate shifts and human arrival.

Its discovery reshaped our understanding of prehistoric predators and ancient Australia’s brutal past.

Maybe we should look for a non-venomous version? We have a high-blue green tree python that might make an appearance 🤔

A tense new pet trend is spreading in China as bright blue Indonesian pit vipers suddenly gain popularity. The shift appears to be inspired by a movie character named Gary De’Snake, whose friendly design and responsible personality changed how many viewers see reptiles. For a growing number of young people, especially Gen Z, snakes are no longer frightening but surprisingly cute and fascinating.

Soon after the film’s release, online searches and purchases of these vipers spiked across major e commerce platforms. The surge shows how pop culture can rapidly influence real world behavior, even when it involves exotic and potentially dangerous animals.

Oh the kids are off school! No classes! No tests!
Till the New Year rolls in—now *what* is the best?

When it’s chilly and cold and the wind’s full of bite,
Come inside where it’s **warm** and the reptiles ignite!
It’s hot in here—*yes, hot!*—with scales, tails, and cheer,
A wintertime jungle lives right inside here.

Stay for the day, just pop in and explore,
No camp commitment—you can still do **more**!
See snakes, lizards, turtles, learn science and fun,
One visit, one smile, or stay till you’re done.

Or… three days of magic if camp is your plan,
Our **3-Day Holiday Camp** is a Seuss-level slam!
Learning and laughs while winter stays gray,
And school’s still on pause—hip hip HOORAY!

No school till the New Year and word’s spreading fast,
We’re expecting **record numbers**, so don’t wait too long—act fast!
Whether you drop in for fun or go all-in with camp,
There’s warmth, wonder, and reptiles all over the map.

It’s Christmas-time cheer with a scaly twist too—
Cold outside… but in here? **WHO KNEW?!**
