We wanted to show you some of our wishlist items in action. Here are our cleaned dishes for the day from one of the animal rooms. Daily tasks include cleaning food/water bowls, as well as litter boxes, which require the use of dish soap and paper towels. The stainless steel bowls contained cat/ dog food, along with the litter boxes that needed cat litter.

On the 9th day before Christmas, we wish that our wonderful donors would send us NONCLUMPING CAT LITTER. We see a lot of cat patients daily, and the cat litter allows the cats to drop off presents for us (like coal in a stocking). We want to thank each of you who has donated so far to our 12 Days Before Christmas Wishlist. Adoptable Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue dog, Tannenbaum was neutered yesterday, among the other 60 dogs/cats, undergoing spay/neuter surgeries. We are thankful that we get to carry on our mission of providing affordable veterinary care. We hope that we receive so many donations from you, wonderful folks, that we cannot fit all of them under a Christmas Tree (Tannenbaum)

Let's talk about muzzles!

This handsome hunk, Cane, recently came to our clinic for his annual wellness exam, a nail trim, some vaccine boosters, and a microchip. As is true of many pitties, Cane was also struggling with some seasonal allergies. He's a sweet guy, but can be a bit nervous with strangers and overwhelming settings, understandably so when we're poking him with needles! We were so appreciative to see his owners had put in the work to muzzle train, and Cane arrived wearing his basket muzzle and was vert comfortable with it on.

Muzzle training your dog can be so incredibly helpful! It doesn't mean they're a bad dog, or you're a bad owner. Quite the opposite! We could tell Cane's owner was very responsible and realistic with Cane's triggers. Because of this, everyone was safe and we could administer the necessary treatments with little restraint so stress was minimized. Through the muzzle Cane enjoyed many snacks from our staff, got a few b***y scratches, and overall had a very positive experience! A big THANK YOU to his owners for being so wonderful and taking precautions!

On the 10th day before Christmas, our wish is that our wonderful donors will send us Delectables/CHURU lickable Cat Treats. TooDooLoo says it looks like a white Christmas and will be more than happy to stay indoors, enjoying some delicious treats. This week we squeezed in a few last minute spay/neuter procedures for our sister organization, Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue who just welcomed an unwanted litter of puppies to rescue. Thankfully our staff stepped up to help get these guys ready for adoption, so now they can attend their Christmas Puppy Yoga event today!
