New veterinary clinic for dogs and cats on Madison's West side! We will continue to strive everyday to provide the best care and service we can give.

Faircrest Veterinary Care is a full service clinic for cats and dogs, started by Dr. Mason Oakes. Dr. Mason has been practicing in Madison for the past 8 years, including 5 years at Lakeview Veterinary Clinic on the west side of town. It is our mission to treat every pet and client with respect, provide compassionate and top-level medical care, and educate owners about their pet's healthcare. Our

services include: preventive care and wellness, treatment of medical emergencies, surgical services, dental care (including digital dental radiography), digital radiography and ultrasound, and in-house and specialty laboratory testing.

Spring is here! And with that comes a warning about Leptospirosis, a disease caused by infection with Leptospira bacteria.

All dogs are at risk of leptospirosis, regardless of age, breed, lifestyle, geographic location, time of year, and other factors. The following situations can increase that risk:

➡Exposure to or drinking from slow-moving or stagnant water sources, like ponds, rivers, lakes, or streams
➡ Roaming on rural properties (because of exposure to potentially infected wildlife or farm animals or urine-contaminated water sources)
➡ Exposure to wild animals (especially rodents) or farm animals, even if in the backyard
➡ Contact with other dogs (such as in urban areas, dog parks, or boarding or training facilities)
