Purtie joined her family in 2012 at about a year and a half old, and for the next 14 years, she filled their lives with a personality all her own. She screamed instead of barked at other animals, howled along with emergency vehicles, chased countless squirrels, and never missed an opportunity for kisses, treats, or a good smell on a walk.

She was a car-ride enthusiast, determined garbage picker, pathway blocker, and devoted shadow who got up whenever her humans did.

When it was time to say goodbye, her family chose home, where Purtie was surrounded by love and familiar comforts.

Purtie’s family shared:
“I cannot be more thankful for the referral my friend gave me. Everyone I spoke with through Lap of Love was caring and compassionate. Dr. Amy made one of the worst days of my life a more peaceful experience. She greeted my Purtie with so much love and kindness and followed my lead on when to proceed with each step. The next day, I received a beautiful email with resources for support. The week after, I received a beautifully written card. Her remains were hand delivered, and condolences were given. Thank you for making my experience so much easier to bear.”

Thank you to Purtie’s family for trusting Lap of Love to be part of her journey, and for sharing the little things that made Purtie so deeply loved. 💜
