We had such a hoppin’ good time celebrating with our adorable patients and the Easter Bunny! From wagging tails to sweet snuggles, these pups made our day extra special.

🐾 Happy National Puppy Day!! 🐾

Everyone meet Livvy 💕 this sweet girl came in today for her puppy visit and was the best patient! She received her rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, and went home with 6 months of Simparica Trio to keep her protected from heart-worms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites!

Starting preventatives early is a crucial part of veterinary care, it helps protect puppies and kittens from parasites and diseases before they ever become a problem. Setting them up young = a healthier, happier life ahead!

This is Lucky, He was found right outside our hospital on October 1st 2025 by our amazing manager, Lindsay. As you can see in the before photo, his skin was extremely irritated and he had lost a lot of fur from chewing due to a severe flea allergy.

After his exam with Dr. Miller, Lucky started treatment right away. He was given Capstar to quickly kill the fleas, a much-needed bath, and began his vaccines. We also started him on Cytopoint for itching relief and prevention with Sentinel and Bravecto.

One of our technicians, Kayleigh, took Lucky home temporarily until he could find a forever home… but after just one week she realized he already had one.

Now almost 6 months later, Lucky’s skin is healthier than ever and his coat has grown back beautifully thanks to consistent prevention and care.

Lucky’s story is a reminder of how important flea, tick, and heartworm prevention is for your pets. If your pet isn’t currently on prevention, now is the time to start! 🐶✨

🐾 Community Care in Action! 🐾
Dr. Kowalewski and our technician Courtney recently spent the day at Cats Cradle Rescue, providing wellness exams and essential preventive care to some very special feline patients. In just one visit, they examined approximately 35 cats, ensuring each one received a thorough check-up and was up to date on their rabies vaccinations and overall health. 🐱💉
Wellness exams are a crucial part of keeping cats healthy. These visits allow veterinarians to detect early signs of illness, monitor weight and dental health, update vaccines, and ensure each cat is ready for a happy, healthy future, whether that’s in a foster home or their forever home.
Supporting rescues like Cats Cradle is incredibly important. Organizations like theirs work tirelessly to give abandoned and homeless cats a second chance, and veterinary care is a vital part of that mission. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with rescue partners and help keep their animals healthy and adoption-ready. ❤️
