Rex is a 7-year-old mixed breed with the sweetest, most easygoing personality. 🐶❤️ He was one of 29 dogs rescued by Big Dog Ranch from another rescue in North Alabama after the owner was hospitalized, leaving the dogs in urgent need of help. When our team arrived and saw the heartbreaking conditions they were living in, we knew we had to act immediately.⁠

Despite everything he’s been through, Rex remains incredibly gentle and calm. He’s a breeze to walk on a leash, loves snuggling up close to his people, and has the kind of peaceful presence that makes you instantly feel comforted around him.⁠

At an age where he should only know play and comfort, Ben is fighting to heal.

Found abandoned as a stray in Miami, this baby is suffering from severe demodex and painful skin infections caused by prolonged neglect. His eyes are swollen, his skin burns with inflammation, and yet… he’s still holding on.

Now, for the first time in a long time, Ben is finally safe. Surrounded by care, medicated baths, treatment, and people who refuse to give up on him.

Ben’s story is painful, but sadly, not rare. Across South Florida, countless dogs are abandoned every day. Spaying and neutering helps stop this cycle of suffering before it starts.

We were honored to welcome our incredible new rescue partners at Pawsitive Rescue Division to Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Lauren, President of Pawsitive Rescue Division, and Tim visited BDRR to represent the organization, whose Director of Fundraising is Ella Langley. 🌟

During their visit, we also welcomed Myla, who was rescued by the Pawsitive Rescue Division team after being found abandoned in a dumpster. We’re happy to now support her as she continues her recovery surrounded by a team committed to giving her the future she deserves.

Pawsitive Rescue Division also welcomed four of our Ridglan beagles into their rescue, continuing our shared mission of giving dogs in need the second chances they deserve.
