Last Day Dog Rescue

Welcome to the Last Day Dog Rescue page! Instead, our dedicated volunteers provide loving homes for our animals until Adopted!
(417)

Based in Southeast Michigan, we operate as a completely foster-based rescue, meaning we don't have a physical building. We are a foster home based rescue. All of our animals are in foster homes throughout SE Michigan. An approved adopter must complete an application, agree to a vet check where applicable, set up a meet and greet with the interested animal, and participate in a home visit prior to adoption.

Celebrate National Cat Day with us and our newest little babies Nacho, Cholula, and Churro! They were found as strays and are currently getting the best care in one of our foster homes. These guys are too little for normal cat food and we could use some KMR (kitten milk replacement) and some wet food for when they transition.

If you can donate it we would appreciate it so much 🐾❤😻

👑MEET PRINCE! 👑

Prince is a handsome 4-year-old Chow Chow mix! He loves the outdoors, going for car rides, and giving plenty of kisses and hugs.
He's got so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give him the happy ending he deserves.

Application to Adopt is located in the comment section below! ⬇️

One of our senior dogs is returning to us. His name is Shaggy, he's 11 years old, 26 pounds, and going deaf. We are looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt for this fella.

Because he does not hear well he is getting spooked more easily. He needs a home with low activity - no small kids, nothing too wild and crazy.

He has done well with cats and some dogs. However, because he's going deaf he would enjoy a home by himself because he can't hear what is coming or going.

If you have room in your heart and your home for him please let us know! ❤

Orion, also affectionally known as Ry-Ry, is a snuggle bug of a dog who is eager to please his humans. He has gained much needed confidence in his foster home ❤

He does well with adults and larger kids. Absolute rock star at cuddling and listening. He does not do well with other animals - so no other dogs or small animals for him.

If you are looking for a one and only companion who listens well (knows sit, stay, shake, whosagoodboy rewards), and will hog your bed and your heart then check him out 🐾

Our little Marko came to us with a big hernia but that didn't stop him from being an absolute joy of a puppy! He's a beautiful brindle boy who loves everyone and everything.

Surgery went well, he's all healed up, and ready to party 🎉🎉🎉

Rubis 🪎 dropping by to say hello 👋

Rubis is shy yet curious, loves to play with you or other cats, and loves lounging around the house. She is good with dogs but scurries when the barking starts! She even tolerates being held by little kids.

She’s looking for a loving home that can spoil her like the true gem she is ❤️

Rubis would love to be a back up to your basketball or volleyball team 🏀🏐😂
