🌺Aubrey is a sweet French Bulldog with some breed specific needs. Knowing our breeds well, we know Frenchies needs to stay cool since they are brachycephalic dogs. We love our cools nights, enjoying the twinkling lights✨

⚡️We asked Rayne Metalworks make a custom dog bowl for these type of dogs. This specific angle and soft silicone bowls help these types of breeds eat with ease!

🎊 LOOK WHAT YOU DID! 🎊

You are all 🩵Elite Animal Rescuers! You came through for little 🌹Rosey Roo!

🌹Rosey still has a long road ahead, with at least two procedures in her future. First, she needs a CT scan to determine how severe her growth is. Once we have that information, we can move forward with removing the large mass. Along with this, she will finally be spayed so she will never again have to endure the strain of producing litter after litter of puppies.

💗At only around 7 months to 1.5 years old, it breaks our hearts to know she has already had a litter. We believe she may have been born with this mass, which grew larger over time and was never treated. She likely went through pregnancy and nursed her puppies while the mass continued to grow and become more infected. We have no doubt she was a wonderful mom, and it’s heartbreaking to think about her being left on the streets once her puppies were old enough to survive without her or their father.

Friends of Rouge Park has sadly become a nightmare for countless dogs. This is a well-known dumping ground, and it doesn’t take long to find loose, frightened dogs
….or to discover the tragic aftermath of neglect and abuse💔

🩻Now her $180 consultation for the CT scan is scheduled for next week. We are so grateful to BluePearl Pet Hospital for getting her in so quickly, knowing her urgent needs.

We can’t imagine the difficult life she has endured. Yet, despite everything, she continues to show love, resilience, and trust. Rosey inspires us to keep going, to the never ending battle of our major animal crisis.

We got a lot done today!
✅ Rabies
✅ Distemper/Parvo
✅ Microchip (none found 🥲)
✅ Heartworm/Tick Test (NEGATIVE🥳)
✅ Culture sent to the lab for her infection
✅ Antibiotics
✅ Pain meds
✅ Flushed/drained wounds
✅ Full exam

We’re discussing the possibility of a TECA (total ear canal ablation), but for now, the goal is to get the infection under control to reduce inflammation. Once that’s down, the vet is hoping she can manipulate the mass more and get a clearer view of what’s going on behind it. It all depends on where it’s attached. Imaging is definitely needed. Ideally an MRI or a CT Scan.

🌹Rosey is back in her temp home now..and barking! We hadn’t heard her voice until now. She’s playing with toys, wagging her tail, and overall thriving. The vet said she didn’t growl or show any aggression at all during her treatment. That said, we’ll still keep a close eye on her with toys, food, and anything high value.. safety first!

Named after none other than Rosie the Riveter, because this girl is strong, resilient, and ready to fight her way back to health.

🌹Rosey’s journey is just beginning, and she has quite a road ahead. She’s a young gal. She’ll need extensive medical care, but thanks to the incredible outpouring of support, especially from the amazing team at Detroit Diesel Corporation, she’s already got an army behind her. These workers see the harsh reality of dumped dogs far too often, and they stepped up big time for 🌹Rosey.

She’s heading to her first vet appointment in a few hours, at Four Seasons Veterinary Services, and we’ll keep you updated on everything she’ll need, and how you made it all possible. ❤️

We know times are tough, and every dollar is hard-earned. That’s why we’re committed to transparency, because you, our supporters and donors, are the real heroes in this story. 🩵What have we been up to lately?
Keeping pets looking sharp and fosters feeling loved, as always! ☀️Summer is our favorite time of year! Watching the dogs enjoy the sunshine in the yard is such a joy.

We had our sweet old man, ♠️Ace, stop by for a full groom! His mom was thrilled to have him clean and smelling fresh again! And 💛Cooper, the sweetest boy ever, got a full spa day before heading home after his stay with us.

😈Dr. Evil is recovering beautifully from his heartworm treatment. He’s already received all 3 injections and will soon be tested to see if he’s officially 🩷🪱➖Heartworm Negative.. fingers crossed!

🏥Our newest medical intake is a little different from the rest of our fosters. This sweet injured pup was dumped and left to fend for herself. After 7 hours in the heat, I was able to secure her safely. She had no shade, no safe place, and was nearly hit by cars several times while staying in a busy area for days. She desperately needed help and I couldn’t leave her behind.

🩵Over the years, I’ve met some incredible animal lovers, and Layne was the amazing one who first spotted this girl and started the rescue effort. We’ve always talked about saving dogs together. We may not have the big fundraising platform or fancy face of a formal rescue, but what we do have is heart and a whole lot of determination.

Some fellow advocates and I have joked about being the “Elite Animal Rescuers”… but you know what? That’s exactly who we are 💪🐾
