Second weekend in a row at the Fenwick grounds, switching from APLA back to HRC. We had a great weekend, ran some good tests, and came home with a whole lot of ribbons. We went 4/4 in started, 1/1 in seasoned, 14/14 in finished.

First up our started dogs:

SHR “Wigeon” -owned by Kyle and Jamie, Jamie ran Wigeon for her title weekend! Love seeing my clients take over the reins!

Nyah - owned by Ed Tim earned two started passes this weekend while Ed was in a flyer station at an AKC hunt test. Nyah ran for two different handlers this weekend, Kristen and Sarah.

Shout out to SHR Crew who is owned, trained, and ran by my friend Sarah! Crew is out of our female Cricket bred to Ace! Couldn’t be more proud of him earning his first title!

Next up is Seasoned.

HR “Koa” earned her last pass towards her seasoned title, also owned by Kyle and Jamie. Koa will go on to run finished this summer.

Lastly finished.

HR APR “Westley” and HR GMPR “Falco” owned and handled by Debbie Beattie went two for two in finished! Falco needs 1 more towards his HRC title and Westley needs two more.

As You Wish crew back at it again at Grassy Creek Retriever Club.

GRHRCH UH MPR “Cricket” MH picked up her fourth master pass this year.

HRCH GMPR “Miley” picked up her fourth master pass owned by Drew Brown.

We are proud to introduce our two newly titled and master national qualifier females.

HRCH APR “Rous” MH going 6/6 this year and qualifying for the mater national at 2 years old.

Goose passed 6 master tests in the last two months and is our first dog to qualify for the Master National.

HRCH “B” picked up two more passes this weekend, she will be running her for her title in a couple week.

Results from Retrievers Unlimited HRC Test are in and I couldn’t be more proud of the crew! Each of my dogs showed their hard work they put in down south these last 3 months on our second annual southern training trip.

We went 2/2 in started both days, 1/1 in seasoned both days, and 6/6 in finished Saturday and 7/7 in finished Sunday.

Again I couldn’t be more proud for the work this crew put in so far this year and it’s just beginning!

As our trip south comes to an end next week I want to thank all my clients for letting me get a jump start on training for the upcoming hunt test season. It’s been a fun 3 months in Florida, I’ve met some awesome people and seen some familiar faces around the test grounds.

The last two weeks we’ve been hitting the AKC Master tests hard with the older dogs.

As You Wish...

Welcome to the As You Wish Retrievers Page! We are a family-owned kennel located in lower Michigan. Our family has raised many waterfowl and upland retrievers that love what they do. As we became “empty-nesters” we decided it was time to get back into the fun and games associated with owning a retriever and got our first pointing lab. We currently have two female pointing labs in our kennel both currently running in APLA, AKC, and HRC hunt tests.

The name “As You Wish Retrievers” comes from a family favorite movie, The Princess Bride. One of the many famous quotes from the movie is “As you wish” that the main character Westley says to the Princess whenever she asks him to do a task. We believe that retrievers take that quote to heart in everything they do, from retrieving ducks on cold winter days to running through thick cattails chasing a rooster.
